We went to see Bus Stop and it was wonderful. However, it is just too hot in there. I thought the “doctor” in the play was going to pass out because he was perspiring so much. This could easily be remedied by cutting a hole in the wall high above the stage near the ceiling, trimming it with wooden louvers painted flat black to make it invisible. Build a plenum out of fiberglass duct board for sound deadening and put an exhaust fan pushing air out of the gable end of the barn, pulling air through the duct and louvers. Open the windows near the silo and draw the warm stale air from the building which will be replaced by fresh air through the open windows. By all means, eliminate the ceiling fans. Read moreLast night, Sarah and I again enjoyed a Hilarious Comedy at the Red Barn Theater. This Comedy was "It Runs in the Family".
We laughed or chuckled almost continuously for more than 2 hours. In fact, we were still chuckling at home about an hour later.
The converted barn and rural setting is beautiful in itself, but the plays often are as well done as anywhere we have gone. The art on display is of local talent and the refreshments are also are supportive the local breweries.

It dragged on for an hour and a half before intermission (when we went home). The story repeated itself over and over.
