Quincy Cellars — Attraction in Town of Ripley

We can’t thank Amy, Kevin and the rest of the staff at Quincy’s enough for the most perfect day. Throughout planning a pandemic wedding which is already stressful, Amy was amazing through everything. They were so accommodating throughout the months prior not knowing if we would need to reschedule or not. Even though it was not needed, Amy offered us a rescheduled date or let us know that they would work with us depending if it needed to be cancelled (which is out of this world for a small town business to be so accommodating and thoughtful towards us when I’m sure they were having troubles on their own like any business would through a pandemic and being shut down unexpectedly. Plus most vendors just are not acting that way during these times).

Once it was decided we were still able to plan but needed to follow COVID guidelines, Amy discussed with us a few times prior of the changes and made sure our guests felt comfortable but were able to have a great time. All of our guests were extremely happy with how everything turned out and were raving how great of a place it was!

The food was exceptional! A week later we still have guests complimenting and talking about the food. No one has ever been to a wedding or event with such great food. I’m honestly shocked how well our lobster tail and filet came out. Someone who has worked in the industry prior and having multiple friends and family in the industry are all shocked how such great food came out in catering quantity size. Another great plus is Amy and Kevin were so helpful when I found out a few weeks prior that a guest has a digestive issue and couldn’t eat anything that was planned on the menu, without a problem they made sure that the guest was able to eat an exceptional meal as well. My husband and I had our wedding here, and it was the best day of our lives! The owners are such sweet people who genuinely want to help make your event perfect! The food and wine/beer was delicious, they helped out so much with the planning aspect and taking care of linens and table set up for us, and let us get in a day early so the day of we weren’t running around. They even let us come in very early the day of to have our hair and makeup done on site. We had some health issues in our family that made planning a bit hectic and lead to some last minute changes, and on top of helping as event planners, they checked in with us, genuinely to see how we were doing. On top of being great people, the venue itself is BEAUTIFUL! There is a pond and vineyard on the property that made us fall in love with it! The tasting for our food was phenomenal also - made it hard to choose since every dish was absolutely delicious! Quincy Cellars is a beautiful venue for a wedding but unfortunately I think the owner Kevin is taking on too many other projects and letting his food standards slip. We recently had my daughter’s wedding there and we were not very satisfied with the food and they also switched the beer that we had requested and served their choice instead of ours. The food that was served at the wedding did not taste at all like the food we had been presented with on our second tasting. Many people at our first tasting were also complaining of how the food was cooked which is why we asked for a second tasting. Be forewarned that what you think is goIng to be served may not taste at all like you may have had at a special tasting. Unfortunately a wedding day is not the day you want the cook to have a bad day and that is what happened to us. He is very unwilling to accept any responsibility for any problems.
