This place is beautiful! Cross a narrow bridge over the Willowemoc Creek and you arrive at this peaceful estate dedicated to fly fishing. The grounds were nicely kept, including some recently carved nature trails through the woods along the bank of the Willowemoc. There is a pond onsite fed by the Willowemoc that looks like it has all sorts of fish in it.. The staff are friendly and the museum pays homage to the history of fly fishing and its roots right here in the Catskills. There is a gift shop that serves as the entry to the museum and seperately a workshop where they occasionally host sessions on making bamboo fly rods. I'd love to see them do workshops on fly tying too. And was able to fish the pond and the Willowemoc right there on the museum grounds! Work the visit and I'll certainly be back to...

Electric outlets to power any type breating devices, photo equipment or cell phones is very limited. The kitchen is adiquitly stocked to cook meals. Bathrooms aye very dirty & unsanitary. I see no reason the museum management could not do a better job of just that..manage...
