Winter hiking recommend trails. Parking lot is packed dirt, and looks adequate for numerous cars. We did the Long Pond Trailhead. Start of the trail is hilly, but then becomes level for most of the way. We only did 4 miles round-trip. No snowshoes, or anything resembling adequate winter gear.
