I am writing this as a wedding guest as i, along with my family attended a wedding this past weekend from 11/11/2022 - 11/13/2022. As a guest, it is pretty cool to pretty much have a place for the weekend, and do events the entire weekend. Also not to mention to not have a curfew or any time restrictions. First on friday, in the evening, we attended the toast. it was nice, and pretty cool to ride in a golf cart on the way to your destinations in between places. Only thing is it is a little cold to do things outside. the heat lamps at the toast did help, but everytime the wind blew and that the ground was wet, it was making everything cold, including me. Anyways tho, the event was gorgeous, and it was a perfect stay underneath the pavolon. The next day was the wedding. And again a bit cold to be outside, but bundling up helps. The view was gorgeous with mountains surrounding everyone. Next we took the golf carts to the barn. Will admit, since there was lots of people, it should have been a little more organized as far as getting people on the golf carts, but i think they managed pretty well. Now the barn, is so beautiful! Love the big setting with the bar, and the bar outside as well. Didn't really like the music tho, but that's more up to the wedding party-- like a little less electronic sounds and more full songs. If i danced to the full everytime we touched by cascada it would have been awesome! the floor is heated in the barn and it was pretty warm in there, which helped the people who were cold from the outdoors at least. love the atmosphere and it is a big place also. On Sunday, we went back to the barn for some breakfast. again tho kind of cold if people leave the barn door open. Overall fun atmosphere and cool place. Definetely different from the normal...
Read moreMy now wife and I got married at Stone Tavern Farm just over a month ago. It was the BEST weekend of our lives. From the first moment we stepped on the farm we felt love, kindness, and the most wonderful hospitality imagine-able. We began our weekend on Friday by having our rehearsal dinner at the lakeside pavilion and it was a stunning space. The staff worked tirelessly through the day to have it prepped for the night and it paid off. The staff were so attentive to our needs it was almost like they could read our minds because before we could ask a question or make a request they were already on it and making it happen.
We had our ceremony on Saturday at the spot overlooking the valley at the top of the property and our reception at the barn later that evening. Again the staff really worked for us and made the whole day go so smoothly. From the golf cart taxis, to the mind reading hospitality, to the beautiful space we seriously couldn't have asked for anything more. The ceremony site was stunning when we arrived and the barn was jaw dropping. The pictures really don't do it justice.. it has this otherworldly feel about it when you see it in person.
I can't recommend this venue enough. Lori, Bill, Julie, and the rest of the team really worked hard to make this the perfect weekend. I honestly can't say enough about the venue and team. From planning and preparation to onsite support and setup this team is full...
Read moreMy wedding was booked with STF for a year and a half when 4 months before our big day, they told us they were cancelling all 2024 weddings. They completely screwed us over after assuring time after time that our wedding would be perfect. While they returned our money in a timely manner, it did not help the days of scrambling to find a new venue and the emotional distress this caused us and our guests.
While the barn is beautiful and the grounds are very nice, there are several cons to the space. The barn has no air conditioning and both times we visited the space it was super hot in there. There are tons of hills so older folks and anyone with mobility issues will have trouble getting around, as the only way for them to get from one place to another is via golf cart. The owner only communicated with us when she had a question or something to tell us, and rarely answered our questions and left our emails unread. Alongside, they require you to use only vendors for their list, and get frustrated when you hire someone who they didn’t recommend.
In top of all of this, after cancelling, we received little to no apology for the horror they put us through. That is poor customer service. I am honestly so relieved that things happened this way, as our new venue checks all of our boxes and actually responds to us. I would not recommend STF to anyone looking for a...
