This place is absolutely stunning. My family and I went for the day just to swim (off the boat launch) and it was serene! We drove 2 1/2 hours to get here and the drive is well worth it. We swam for about 3 hours before the horseflies started trying to eat us alive, which was the only downside, but thats nature so I can’t complain, haha. Go, you won’t regret it!

Off the beaten path, this is a beautiful place to visit for a day of quiet and relaxing fishing from the peninsula. From The boat launch ramp take the left trail and walk about 20 to 30 minutes. It's well worth the effort.

Stunning pond . Primitive campsites along both sides . Water can be choppy . You will paddle against a current regardless of direction . Views are worth the work . Large parking lot ! Walking paths along the side .

It's typically wind borne. Has a prevailing wind, which worsens if there is any wind in the area. Avoid if its windy before you paddle. Nice paddle, but no place to get out of the kayak. A little on the small side, about 140 acres, no outlet stream or coves to explore so it paddles smaller than 140 acres. It's basically an oblong shape. I prefer other...

An amazingly beautiful lake. We used our kayaks and fished for bass. They were plentiful. Get there early as there is very limited parking but the views are fabulous. It is surrounded by mountains. In the fall it is...
