The lake has been pumped out and dried up for the building of a dam on Willow river which runs through or along this lake. They expect to flood the lake back in and stock it with fish in 2020. I am not sure when public water access is expected to be granted. Right now as of 07/17/18, where the lake once was you can see long wild grass and the twisting turns of the river as it still runs. There is also at least 6 miles of hiking trails, and if you follow them far enough you can see little falls on Willow river (not so little & they make a lot of noise.) Well constructed walking bridge/trails/overlooks and benches along the trails in this area. Still a good spot to visit for site seeing and observering the natural area.
