Perch Lake is one of those hidden treasures that you almost don’t want to tell people about because it’s so perfect! The beaches are fantastic—well-kept and spacious, with clean grassy areas that are ideal for laying out a blanket or setting up chairs. The picnic tables are in great condition and thoughtfully placed so you can enjoy your lunch with a beautiful view of the water. In August, the water is crystal clear and pleasantly warm, making it perfect for swimming, floating, or just hanging out. The entire lake is surrounded by tall, beautiful trees that create a peaceful, secluded feeling and plenty of shade if you want to escape the sun for a bit. One of my favorite things about Perch Lake is that there are no motorized boats allowed. This keeps the atmosphere quiet and serene—you can actually hear the birds, the breeze in the trees, and the gentle splash of swimmers. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing day, whether you’re there with family, friends, or even on your own to unwind. If you’re looking for a clean, scenic, and peaceful lake experience, Perch Lake is hard to beat!

This lake has a public access launch, a beautiful sandy beach and over 4 miles of park trails . About a mile and a half of trails are paved and although the terrain is hilly, these trails remain great for a walk, run or even winter snow shoeing. This is a great swimming and paddle boarding lake. The beach is accessed through a Saint Croix county park (Homestead Parklands) and you do need parking passes. Public boat launch access is free. The park closes at 9pm. Mosquitoes start to get bad after 9pm anyways.

This is a fantastic little lake for fishing. I have heard that they stock it yearly with trout, but I have never caught any there. Also, fishermen, beware, there are groups from swimming clubs who come out from time to time and take over the lake like they own it

This is one of my favorite lakes in Wisconsin to visit. It is super clean. It's super quiet with no gas powered vehicles on it. It definitely makes it more peaceful. They're on a sunny day through the summer. There's always five or six people out paddle boarding or...
