Round Lake County Park — Attraction in Town of Sampson

We had been going to this lake for years (back in the 80's & early 90's) but sadly, access to it was cut off to it after some teens started partying there and broken glass bottles ended up in the lake. It took awhile but the county stepped in & they cleaned it up, added bathrooms & a nice picnic area! The problem is the horse flies attack you from the moment you exit your vehicle until you get back in to leave. It's a shame because I have such fond memories of this...

This is an excellent spot to bring the whole family. The swimming area is very nice and kid friendly. The trails from the parking lot to the beach area and picnic area is paved and handicap accessible. There is a wide open space with picnic tables and park style grills and a few over head covering buildings with tables. Very woodsy setting with easy access. You can fish in several areas and not disturb the swimmers and there is a boat...

Very nice and clean park with lots of picnic tables and permanent grills availabile. Has a nice beach on a very clear lake and a boat landing with a nice dock on the other side...
