This Forest is one of my favorite places to hike in the winter. It's so beautiful! The trails are well marked, and there's a bit of elevation difference that will get your heart rate up. There are hardwood forests, pine forests, creeks and adorable wooden bridges that add to the uniqueness of this lovely forest. I like that there are restrooms, a picnic shelter, a warming hut and a sugar shack off of the main parking lot, too.

Enjoyed a couple of the trails on a beautiful day. They were well marked and easy to follow. One followed the creek through deciduous woods and one went through a coniferous forest. More paths to try another time. Sadly the one bridge across the creek had fallen into disrepair so those trails no longer connected.

Hiked the trail to the sugar shacks. Love that this park has something for just about everyone to enjoy the winter ... snow-shoeing, hiking, snow mobile trails, xc skiing.

Amazing hike in the winter! Even better if you have snow shoes (we didn't but can't wait to try with them! ) It's so beautiful after a fresh snow fall with amazing picture opportunities. Even on a Sunday it wasn't busy at all. It's Moderate hike so kids 4 and under in the winter might have a tougher...
