The absolute biggest letdown. Too much to even write honestly. But I’ll try my best to help another person not get ripped off. We paid $300 for a “spooky shindig.” That included a cabin, a fire and 10 admissions to the “haunts.” We get there and they charged us an additional $25 a person to SIT BY THE FIRE . To help watch, wrangle and keep an eye on our teenagers this place charged us over $150 EXTRA. Never on the website did it specify this extra charge per person. It says for additional “haunts” you need to pay, to which we agreed- but NEVER MENTIONS “to enter dark and lame space it’s going to be $25.” When asked the guy rudely looked at me and said “what do you expect to enter for free?” To which the answer is absolutely YES, to sit by a fire and attend a birthday party. Like if you go bowling for example, and you don’t bowl you can still enter the facility for the party for FREE and Not bowl. NOT THIS PLACE. You get to pay to not be able to even watch your teenagers and kids bc you aren’t allowed too outside the fire pit?! Then- they never told us where to go- Left us high and dry, with 16 people waiting . Then never offered to help get the food down to the cabin which is down a huge gravel Road, thankfully we took turns pulling a wagon. And THEN- we stood in all the lines for HOURS - just like every other attendee. So we couldn’t even utilize the fire and the cabin we paid for bc we spent the entire time in LINES. Over an hour and 20 mins for a corn maze!! Additionally, the staff was EXTREMELY RUDE. The place was DARK. DARK. So dark you couldn’t actually even see the activities to do. No lights on the slides, no lights in the maze, no lights around the facility. No LIGHTS. So so so dark. The photo with me and the only creeper- the background is the area with the activities!! Pitch black!!! Lame country music played, like old country…. We thought we were paying for “the haunts” after 7pm… they were clear that’s why they needed to charge us adults $25 to sit by the fire…. And not allowed to go ANYWHERE OUTSIDE THE FIRE PIT AREA!!!!! That meant a very very dark and dangerous place, can’t see kids, literally no idea where they were. And there was one scary guy walking around. - who actually entered the boys bathroom when my 11yro was in there and scared him and he couldn’t go to the bathroom. One of my mom friends actually tripped over a bench that was placed in the dark in the haunted house and fell Really hard and is legit HURT FROM IT. They did absolutely NOTHING to accommodate us for a party. We ran out of wood. They were rude, they overcharged us and seriously disappointed us. We drove 4 cars of teenagers there …. And was met with a rude, unapologetic, unorganized staff who couldn’t even offer us an apology for their lack of communication on THEIR WEBSITE. Absolutely unacceptable. Money is tight these days and this facility, by day might have it together- but by night?! STAY AWAY. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!! 1 star. ⭐️. Absolutely awful!!!

This was the second time me and my girlfriend of 10 years have been to liberty ridge. Honestly, this is by far the best haunted experience you can go to in the capital region. I've lived in Columbia County my entire life and have been to all of the Haunted attractions within 2 hours of there. Liberty ridge hands down takes the cake as the best. In my opinion, it's more of an adult attraction than a "family" i.e adults with children attraction. But I absolutely prefer this, and don't get me wrong there are children anyhow. They are incredible though. We went through the corn maze after mcobb manor and she absolutely freaked out (though she's a glutton for a good scare and knows as much going in). Well, She freaked out so much she dragged me past the exit and sent us into a second loop through the maze. All of the actors inside the maze caught onto this as she was being quite loud and desperate. The second walk through she really lost it, and it came a point where there were 6 actors walking behind us (as seen in a Classic horror film) in wonderfully horrific synchrony funneling her to the exit guarded by a clown which she made abundantly clear she couldn't handle willingly. She barely made it through, but just after we cleared the exit, one of the actors broke roll and made sure she was okay. This is something I've never experienced and was very humbling. Normally at any Haunted attraction they're proud in the success of the scare, but I've never seen anyone at any Haunted attraction break character to make sure a customer was okay after the scare. Not only was this the best choreographed scare I've ever witnessed, it was also the most kind spirited aftermath ever. The attention to detail of the whole crew at once and then the aftermath was stunning. Aside from this, the entire farm has endless amounts of random but insanely fun attractions for everyone. This ranges from food stands, to burn pits, to tree houses, to massive slides, to fun sports of all kinds, to oversized checkers/chess, to corn hole, to hamster wheels, to trolly rides, to swings and see-saws and etc. The list goes on. Regardless, there's not a single other haunted attraction in the greater area that can offer half of what this place does. Save your money going elsewhere and absolutely come here. If a good experience is what you want, this Is a no Brainer. If a cookie cutter boring and basic experience is what you want, go elsewhere. This is the premier haunted attraction around though.

Took my 2 yr old Grandson here for their Pumpkin Palooza. The venue was age appropriate and he had a great time; except that I was served a cold $2.00 hot dog, and an uncooked $5.50 burger! Regardless of the food issue, I was intrigued enough by this event to suggest to a friend that we attend their VIP event on Oct. 26th; 5 Haunts, CornMaze, 10 bands, food and drink offered in VIP tent, firework show....We were disappointed! From start to finish; I had to email the Farm about their web price info as it was conflicting to me, no one emailed me back. When arrived, we had to get our wristbands. We confirmed with the girl at the window what our wristband covered for the VIP cost; she said everything, right down to the Cow Train! I asked about any extra cost for the food being served in the VIP event (mainly because their food was so expensive.) She said the food in VIP was free. The first thing we did was the (day)CornMaze, which was great and took us two hours! Then we wanted that Cow Train ride, because it's a great ride, the lady really knows how to cruise! To our dismay, we were refused and told that the VIP wristband did NOT cover this. We then were trying to figure out the band situation; as the advertisement in their site made it seem as though there would be 10 bands playing simultaneously across the grounds throughout the day. This was not the case. The bands were changing about every two hours in the tent, and then the house at dusk. The only "foot stopping" that occurred was from the band itself; so much that they stomped their own beers off the table, lol. Hungry and getting frustrated and bored (because at this point nothing left to do until the haunts started,) we went for food in the VIP house, and found out that it was NOT free with the VIP pass, and basically the same food they were serving all day in the lower farm area. So with time to kill we went back to the lower Farm for the food, and sat by one of the fire pits, waiting for the haunts to start. After all the prior issues, we were excited to experience the haunts and round out our night with some great screams, only to be disappointed again :( The 3-D Haunt was a complete waste, as was the Haunted Maze. The Field of Screams (haunted corn maze) was a creepy setting that could have been greatly utilized, yet just another let down; and make sure you watch your step. They don't tell you that they dug out a ground area and placed a mattress in the hole; I know defeats the surprise of a mushy ground, but injuries were taking place due to this unexpected step. We then proceeded to the last two Haunts; a psychic reading; where in our passing by, he seemed to be trying to blow snot out his left nostril, hmmm! Then off to Jeb's Haunted House, which was the best of all of them. Not particularly scary, but the effects were great, followed by a long path of blah to get out. We didn't bother to stay for the firework show, as we still had another hour and half to wait for that and nothing left to do. Not that the Haunts were worth it, but you're only allowed through 3 of the 5 one time! We complained to a manager just prior to attending the haunts; regarding what we we read in their site VS what we were told at the check-in window VS what we were actually allowed to receive with the VIP....we were given an apology and offered a free pumpkin! No thanks!! My overall opinion; this venue is great for the little kids,...

We recently had an employee outing at the farm and booked the “Spooky Shindig”. In addition to the “Spooky Shindig” package we ordered the BBQ Buffet with an open bar, all of which was booked over a month in advance. The day before our event I called the farm to ensure we were all set. A few minutes later I received a call back and was told our group was being moved to a tent because alcohol isn’t allowed in the cabins. This was never discussed at the time of booking or at any time prior. After several back-and-forth phone conversations, we were told that they figured it out and we’d now be able to stay at the cabin and keep the bar as originally planned. This was still an inconvenience and something that should have been clearly communicated at the time of booking. When we arrived the next day for our event and checked-in we were given extremely vague directions to the cabin and had to ask multiple staff members for directions, all of whom were extremely rude. When the remainder of our party arrived and tried to meet us they were told they couldn't enter until the farm re-opened at 7:00pm despite a handful of us already being allowed in around 6:30pm and the email confirmation that stated our party hours were from 6:00pm-10:00pm. After a few minutes of explaining, the staff reluctantly and rudely let the rest of our group enter but again, did not provide anyone with directions to the cabins. A little while after receiving our food and beverages one of the staff members came back and informed us that they mistakenly provided us with another party’s hot cider and hot chocolate and that they were removing it from our cabin to bring to the correct party. Our party had already started drinking from both before the staff realized their mistake, they didn’t provide the other group fresh thermos of each or re-fill them. Around 9:30pm we went to the haunted house attraction. One of our employees was wearing a Halloween mask while we were in line receiving the rules/directions and not one employee requested him to remove his mask or informed us that mask were not permitted. Additionally, we were never informed that alcoholic beverages were not permitted through the attractions, which we were blatantly holding in line and in front of employees. About half-way through the attraction the actor with the chainsaw tried pulling the mask off our employee, hit the drink out of his hand and told us we reeked of alcohol. He then proceeded to tell us that he was going to call the State Troopers if we didn’t leave. After being followed out of the attraction we spoke with a manager and explained that we had been drinking the alcohol provided by the farm that we had paid for and that we were never informed about these rules. Multiple staff members continued to be rude as they hovered and watched us the remainder of the night. This was something our company had been looking forward to for weeks but instead we all ended up extremely disappointed and frustrated with the staff...
