Stablegate Farm & Vineyard — Attraction in Town of Schodack

So where do I beign I was at wedding 5/21/22 from the get go upon setting up for my equipment for the Ceremony I was meet with Nonchalant staff that didn't tell me where to set up upon trying to set up for the Ceremony I was told by the bride that this not the spot for the ceremony so I lost a good 40 min for set up time finally we arrived at the right spot roughly about a third of mile up the road on hill we arrived at the destination and we beign to set up again and I was met by a single staff saying you can't put it there I put my drinks there so we had to break down the equipment and move it another 50 feet leading me to go back to my car and pick a table up from my trailer leading me back up to the Ceremony site leaving us only 1 hour to set up the two remaining sites. Thankfully I was able the pull of the other two set up. After that around 10:00 a half hour before the wedding would I was meet with the owner I assume saying I did a great job but I have too Lower the music. I explained to the gentleman that I was told that the reading couldn't be more then +2db and that was told to me at the beginning of the night a female which I took in much consideration so my levels where set 0db all night long so upon completion I was meet with the gentleman who I stated up above he told me if I don't lower my music he would be forced to pull my plugs so I lowered the music a good amount going from 0bd to -16bd after to his satisfaction he made a threat again saying if you move your levels again I'll be forced to shut you down as I look into the crowded with all there hands in the air saying why are you lowering it. Immediately called for the groom to come over and filled him inn without hesitant he sought him and asked him what gives he asked him if had threatened my dj and replied well I guess I did further there was nothing the groom could do and told to just finished up the night like this I felt horrible so if you book your wedding there make sure they tell you about the ...

I don’t even know where to begin. At the beginning of our wedding journey, finding a venue was the hardest thing we could’ve done. My husband and I had a specific vision in mind and had an incredibly difficult time finding a place that we loved that was also within our budget. We’re from the LI area but knew we wished to get married upstate. We must have visited at least 10 venues. Then on our way home from one, my husband found Stablegate on a whim. We looked everything over and it had the barn that I wanted, and the catering included that my husband wanted and I said “if we visit and we like it, I’m putting a deposit down the next day.” And that’s exactly what we did. Birch Hill is an incredible family owned company with so many aspects attached to it, it was hard not to fall in the second we saw it. Over 2.5 years, I never once regretted that decision and once the wedding day came and went I knew it was the right choice for us. The food is amazing and a ton of different options (including catering to my vegan guests), the staff are incredible, and the vibes are immaculate. Our wedding coordinator Jared was really the star of the show. He was super accommodating to all of our needs, organized, and just all in all a ridiculously sweet and funny guy. When our wedding day ended up getting rained out, he came up with backup plans right on the spot that honestly fit our vibe so much more than our original plan and I really truly have Jared to thank for that. Jared treated us like we were old friends that he was just helping throughout the day. He is someone I will truly forever be the most grateful for to have on my wedding day. I have heard so many horror stories about venues, and I can honestly say this is not one of them. Stablegate Barn and the Birch Hill Catering Company have my highest recommendation. It is difficult to put into words how amazing Sarah Connor truly is. Me and my now husband Shaun got married at Stablegate in November 2019! The entire experience was amazing from top to bottom. Sarah is professional, easy to work with and fun! She took care of every detail of our wedding with grace and elegance. Our wedding was a day we will both never forget for so many reasons but we cannot thank Sarah enough for making it beyond our expectations. Lastly, Jess who is a very close second to Sarah made the day absolute perfection.
