We went on a Tuesday afternoon, just to check out the place and have a more relaxing experience when there would be less people. There was nobody there which is what we were looking for. We checked out the animals and such, not very many at the time we were there. But it was going well, no commotion, no loud tractor noises. Just the animals and pumpkins. We ended up finding the corn maze, which was closed due to it being a weekday. Entrances were gated and signs said it was closed. Made sense. I’m sure they’re busy running a farm during the week to prepare for the weekends. Along the corn maze is a large path that isn’t gated off and there’s no signs. So we were walking it looking for the pumpkin patches themselves. Nobody around to ask about it so we took it upon ourselves to figure it out. We turned around because there were people waving at us to come over by them. So we started walking towards them, and some old guy drives up on his gator and says that areas closed. My girl friend picked up some tiny sawed-in-half corn husks that were along the path. He snatched them out of her hands and said,”it’s my corn.” Shook his head and drove off. We walked back to the car and I had a conversation with them. He said very rudely,”I don’t like people wandering around my farm.” Maybe that would be understandable if his farm wasn’t open to the public. I understand we weren’t exactly going to get the pumpkin farm experience on a weekday. So this review isn’t exactly for that. It’s to show you how people are and how ignorant they are day to day, rather than during peak hours when they put up a front.

To the owner: I’m a potential paying customer, it’s completely unacceptable to treat your customers this way. Your farm is open to the public with signage saying what the hours are. We were there during business hours, and were treated like we were trespassing by simply walking along the corn maze area. There was ZERO signage saying that area was out of bounds or closed. At the time of this review, there was also nothing on the website expressing such things. YOU CANNOT BE MAD AT CUSTOMERS FOR WANDERING AROUND YOUR FARM, THAT’S OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, WITHOUT PROPER SIGNAGE STATING WHERE THEY CAN AND CAN’T GO. I’m not an idiot, I basically grew up on a farm. I’m not just another tourist. I even asked you where the signs were and you said,”we took ‘em down” 😱 REALLY?! No way. I can’t believe it! That’s crazy dude. P.S. we were going to feed that corn you didn’t want to your animals. Get...

If you are 16 years old and want to take pictures, have a Fall experience, and buy pumpkins, Spiekers is NOT the place to be. My daughter and three of her friends got dressed up, did their hair, looked up pictures of the corn maze, etc. They were SO excited for weeks about a Fall experience. Once there, they were told that it "is not a park" and they were not allowed to "screw around". They were not allowed without an adult present (even though they are old enough to drive themselves there). They were the ONLY customers present at the entire farm. They were simply laughing and taking pictures. I understand if they did not intend to buy pumpkins, had been destructive, or were disrespectful to people or property, they would be asked to leave, but they were NOT. They were laughing and taking pictures. When I arrived, the employee tried to help me understand and said "she was nice about it". (Referring to taking pictures and laughing as "screwing around" is not nice.) I understand that it is not a park, but it is a business to buy pumpkins, right? So, if I understand correctly, you are NOT allowed to take pictures - you must walk in, buy pumpkins and walk out - and be accompanied by an adult until... age 18? Age 21? (I looked - no signs were posted.) Apparently, it is NOT a fall experience. If my daughter and her friends had gone on a busy Saturday, I am certain pictures would have been allowed and they would have been able to stay. We will be seeking out a different pumpkin farm next year and encouraging others to do the same. It's unfortunate because we have lived outside of Adell for 23 years and thought Spiekers was a nice...

First time visiting the pumpkin patch and was blown away. The set up is perfect— with clear access off the highway and signage showing where the parking was, it definitely made a normally hectic aspect super easy. We went during a weekday and it wasn’t busy at all. My toddler is on the spectrum, so we intentionally go on days with less crowds. I can only imagine how fun this pumpkin patch is on the weekends! Even though the concession stand wasn’t open, there were still items in the barn (cashier area) for sale. Our favorite part was seeing the animals. I think it’s so nostalgic they have the patch you’re able to go pick your own pumpkins in. 10/10 experience and wish we would’ve found...

We visited on Saturday 10/22/22 and we had an awesome time! We did not know what to expect because this was our first time. They have a really cute store where you can buy all types of pumpkins, honey, squash, decor and other items. The pumpkins were reasonably priced. There was no fee to get into the place, and we got to ride on the hay wagon for free to go out to the field and pick our pumpkins out. The only thing we had to pay to do was go into the corn maze which was shaped like the Titanic, and there was a game inside where you have to find clues and punch a special hole punch to earn a prize on your way out (a mini green gord) We will definitely visit again next year! :)

Super cool spot. They have so many different types of pumpkins for unbelievably reasonable prices!! There are goats to feed, turkeys and chicks, a corn maze a hayride to pick your own pumpkin, a concessions stand(bring cash for that) and so many little snapshot spots I didn't even get them all!! Oh and a fleet of red wagons to carry your goodies. We absolutely loved this place. Take your kids here, I highly recommend it!!
