This place is MAGIC. Beautiful untainted nature. Rented a canoe from Hawks Nest. Great folks! We stayed for 3nights and island hopped to 3 different sites. Most of the fallen trees are to big for a small folding saw. Bring a larger folding saw, a decent axe, and or a decent fixed blade knife to baton to process wood. Mosquitos were marginal. I was using the Sawyer picardin 12hour spray; seems to work well. Overall, this place is amazing and I can't wait to go back.

We camped here with our kids and loved every minute. We were able to get an island campsite and enjoyed boating to our island spending a few days in solitude. We fished, swam and collected broken shells from the shoreline. The kids can't wait to go back next year!

Awesome sceneries. Great camping and fishing trip. Stayed on the island for a week and loved it. Be very careful of rocks, stumps, and lots of low areas. (1-3ft). Small mouth, perch, walleye, crappie, blue gill, and even a carp were all caught on our trip. Mosquitoes and Flys did not care about the bug spary (40%deet). Bite...

Fortunate to live near the TFF. Great natural beauty. Haven't mastered the fishing yet, but enjoy my time on the flowage. Lots of loons and other wildlife. Navigation is a challenge wouldn't attempt it without gps and navigation software. Also don't understand why folks get their boats up on full plane in 7 feet of water...
