Goodman County Park is a gem. It is a bit remote, but the setting is breathtaking. It is connected by a long hiking trail to McClintock County Park which is even more beautiful.

Stay at the campgrounds or group campground here, or rent the cabin at the park.

The rates on the cabin are reasonable, and there is a full bathroom, space for at least 11 adults to sleep (even though supposedly you are only supposed to have 5 adults), full kitchen with dishes and utensils, fridge, and full size range and oven. There are two bedrooms in the cabin with a total of 4 bunk spaces in each. There are two recliners, a couch, and a table in the living room. The spacious porch has a table and chairs. Be sure to let them know if your check in time is going to be different from what you put down when you register for the rental. Kurt and the other gentleman who run the place are nice guys that work pretty hard, so don't abuse their time.

There are also two lodges available for rental for parties, reunions, graduations, etc.

Enjoy hikes around the park to check out Strong Falls and other features on the Peshtigo River. This is a perfect fall colors location.

So far, I have yet to ever catch any trout in the area on the Peshtigo, but I am told there are some here. In any event, it is always great to get outside in such a...

This is a phenomenal County Park!

Lots of parking. Restrooms. Grills. Fishing, camping, swimming, kayaking, and hiking.

There's a small playground area, shelters, cabin and lodge rentals, lots of picnic tables and benches in scenic locations, plenty of river access, a long really nice boardwalk, trail leading to McClintock Park, and a beautiful waterfall.

We contemplated hiking the trail all the way down and back, but we would have missed out on visiting Governor Thompson State Park (again), so we only hiked here a little bit.

This combined with McClintock would be an excellent candidate for a State Park.

Definitely a must-see location! Check out the Grotto of the Lost Hunter Shrine nearby and McClintock County Park, as well, when you're in the area!

$5/day or $25/year for access to all the County Parks, with a plethora of trails...

This is an all day or even 2 day park. The main park is beautifully landscaped with historic and rustic features to explore. There are camping sites and one lodge to rent for an overnight stay. 2 other buildings are able to be rented for day use. There are hiking trail options, with posted maps along the way. From easy to difficult, quick to long. Unfortunately there is no swimming allowed as it's dangerous. I would have taken more pictures of the park but I was too busy enjoying myself and the adventure of exploring everything it had to offer. Also, bring bug spray...
