A very strange feeling from the park. It was a very warm and absolutely windless day, the water in the river was like a mirror, absolutely motionless. Read moreThis a nice Park. The pluses are the access to the Nissequoque River from the marina and beach. A great place for canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding with easy launch areas. There is canoe and Kayak rentals available for a one way trip down the river to Smithtown at reasonable rates. The river bank is just just a short walk with great views of the Nissequoque River and Long Island Sound. There is hiking available with access to the Greenbelt Trail. The grounds of the park are okay and there are some good views of water from the cliffs but the park is still lacking in amenities as it is being developed.
