Everything torn down sucks nothing to look at besides the little cottage platform things. The excitement was going and seeing all the things that made the Girl Scout camp. It took them forever to βprotectβ the place but itβs ruined now when they should have done that long ago before everything was ruined by humans not the weathers and so much better when you didnβt have to pay to camp. All the trees getting cut down out front sucks..the excitement was walking in those nice calming woods down the path. Glass has been all over the out side of the last big cottage for years and still is all over and I mean years!! Been coming there since 2014 when it was amazing and now itβs just a boring walk. Β Β Β Read moreThis was a great experience for us, better than I expected. The park is beautiful with amazing spots to set up your hammock and watch the sunset over Lake Ontario. Sal is the amazing groundskeeper that will show you around, he is passionate about the park and will do everything to give you the best experience. We love it. It is a more in nature camping experience with not a lot of people. There is no water or electric, you will have to carry your supplies to your camp ground, itβs part of the experience The fact that we woke up every day with the sounds of the forest was priceless. Much of the bird habitat has been destroyed over the last year, including beautiful old trees that the woodpeckers loved. The pool area, where many birds used to nest and forage during migration, has been razed and is now just ugly dirt. They destroyed the one building that provided shelter from wind and rain near the lake, which was ideal for lake watching, and left only the fireplace.
