Arbor Hill Grapery & Winery — Attraction in Town of South Bristol

Went for lunch with my husband and we were so disappointed, definitely won’t be going back. There were maybe 6 other tables (we went at 2:15) and the service was painfully slow. We waited half an hour for our food, which was only a brat and a side each. When it finally came we were disappointed to see it was literally just a sausage in a cold roll. No reason that should have taken half an hour to prepare. It was 80% roll, which wasn’t even good. My husbands potato salad looked like a soup ..?? And the waitress (Bailey?) was clueless and less than friendly. Whenever we asked for something she would look at us blankly. When we finally got our food, my husband ordered a beer, which, by the time he had finished eating, still hadn’t come. Our waitress had completely forgotten about it because we asked for the check and she didn’t mention the beer. At this point we didn’t care, we just wanted to leave. But as with everything else, the check took forever to arrive, so we got up and went inside. They couldn’t even FIND our TABLE in their tablet. They had to have us tell them everything we ordered and re-enter it into their system, which then took a long time for them to process. A wine tasting with John was one of the best! He was fun, friendly, hilarious and full of knowledge. The wines are a nice variety for everyone. From sweet to semi sweet to dry to the smoothness of their bourbon-like Speedster and Joyful John.

I enjoyed Arbor Hill so much that I’ve returned 4 more times! For another wine tasting and for their food. Friday Night Steak Night at Brews and Brats was delicious! A 12oz ribeye steak served hot and tender with fresh bread and two sides. I highly recommend their German potato salad and baked beans.

If you can’t decide which bratwurst to get and you have someone to share it with, I recommend getting the Brat Sampler Platter. It comes with 5 different bratwurst cut up in pieces, fresh bread, different sauces and a side for you to share.

Everyone at Arbor Hill is genuinely friendly and seem to enjoy their job. John is awesome and we had Bailey serve us twice. She was very sweet. I wish I could list everyone because they’ve all been so nice!

The garage doors were open and it was a beautiful day, making it a nice experience! We arrived at 4:30PM not realizing they closed at 5PM Monday-Thursday, but they welcomed us in, served us nicely and didn't try to rush us out, as some places do when they want to close.

Their Brats (or sausages?) are very good, and they are served with 4 house made mustard / sauce choices that are all good. You get a huge, fresh, crusty roll with each Brat, so you might think about one roll with two brats, if you want to cut back on the bread. But the roll is so good, maybe treat yourself anyway. And get the baked beans for a side ... they are very good as well.
