A hidden gem! This place is awesome. Beautiful, scenic, quiet/serene, clean & well kept, ample space on sites, separate loops for RVs, tents, & cabins. Playground, hiking, scenic, sport & picnic areas. 25 min drive from Canandaigua to the North, 13 min to Naples, NY to the South. 30 min to CMAC performing arts center. *We stayed in cabin 2, it was $30 per night (with a 2 night minimum stay), & it was a one room & relatively "small" but still enough space for us (4 adults) to use the day bed with 2 twin size mattresses as well as our queen size air mattress (though a double size air mattress would have fit a little better). Like almost any park cabin, there is no bedding so bring your own. I believe they said the trundle bed underneath the day bed pulls up so they can make one big queen size as well but we didn't do that. But the cabin itself was beautiful, clean, all wood & very cozy. We loved our little porch & the table (round or rectangular & wooden with 2 chairs) was perfect size to move around easily & the adjustable panels on it made it a space saver too. There was electricity, a microwave & a mini fridge. NO air conditioning. Hooks to hang things on the wall. If you have more than 2 people in your party, you'll need to bring chairs & beds for them in this particular cabin. Each cabin was different. Cabin 1 had 2 rooms (one with a bunk bed & the other like our cabin w a day bed). Cabin 4 was similar to ours but with more space. Cabin 6 looked much larger. Etc. Each cabin had a porch & most of them overlook a large wooded area &/or field. They're close to several trails in gorgeous forests. The bathroom is within about 50-75' of all cabins but they didn't feel too crowded & were generally nicely separated by trees. Each cabin has their own firepit & grill (ours had the grill in the fire pit, other had a separate standing grill) & sink. A nice feature was a little communal stone firepit central to all the cabins, with a stone patio around it. *There was a stocked pond for fishing & we caught several perch, bass, & sunfish. *There was a playground, basketball court, lodge & pavilion area & multiple places to picnic or play sports. *There is no swimming/pool. *There is a scenic overlook called "the jump off". *We enjoyed watching wildlife all over the park multiple times & even from our porch from deer to groundhogs to chipmunks. This had the beauty & most of the amenities of a state park but without the crowds. We absolutely loved it & hope to return!! Well done to whoever the staff is that maintains this...

Beautiful Park and the Highest point in Ontario County! I have family who stays there and we also have had a few celebrations at Wilson's Lodge and Pavilion 6, over the years :) Really nice playground for the kids too. Affordable rentals for all Cottages, RV park, and also the Pavilions/Lodge. Wilson's Lodge is really nice bc it has its own bathrooms(male&female). It also includes a Kitchen!! Electric Stove with 4 burners and a Full sized working Oven as well. Countertops.. and Fridge.. with a full Freezer as well. Plenty of sturdy, wooden, tables with benches/chairs. You can bring your own things as well. Decorations..Food..Alcohol etc.. Multiple grills available around ALL Pavilions and Lodges. With great family and friends, and an even better view..you can't beat it! Warning- there is a bit of a climb up hill for all vehicles, trucks, cars, etc for almost the whole stretch of this road. So, take it slow and steady and easy on...

We stayed in cabin 4, it was comfortably accessible for my husband's wheelchair, it was very nice and very clean. The campground bathrooms were so clean too that my husband and I both noticed it. It was relaxing having a campfire and watching a deer with fawns in the yard by our cabin. We enjoyed the experience. The pond had quite a few sunfish in it. We do wish the bed was a full or queen, we tried putting the two twins together but we ended up getting a queen air mattress for our second night. We were not able to make it out to the lookout because the stones were too deep for our walker and wheelchair to push through on the ADA trail, unfortunately, probably better once they get packed down. The view from there is quite beautiful when I have walked out...

📸Ontario County Park on Gannett Hill is the highest point in Ontario County and has one of the most spectacular views in the Finger Lakes. Visiting this park has become a Fall tradition with my Dad. We visit my mother’s grave in Canandaigua and then drive around the Lake, enjoy the amazing views, and then we walk the ADA trail together to the Jump Off to enjoy the incredible Autumn colors. 🍁We visited the Jump Off on October 18,2024 and the colors were fantastic! 🔗Get more information about visiting this wonderful park here: https://adventuresny.com/ontario-county-park-naples-ny/ #thisisroc #roctopshots #explorerochester #visitroc #rochester #rochesterny #upstateny #ispyNY #ILOVENY #ROC #greaterroc #newyorkexplored #newyorkonly #just_newyork #thisisupstate #nys #eastcoastnomads #newyorkstopshot #nys_landscapes #thingstodoROC #explorefingerlakes #fIx #fIxperience #fingerlakes #Fall #autumninnewyork #fallcolors #autumndrive

The hike through the glen is well worth it. You can take the high trail which includes overlooks with waterfall views, or do as I did and hike up the stream. There are ropes placed along the first two waterfalls for those who wish to climb. The way out of the gorge is very steep if you go this way. The third waterfall is quite high and there are ropes to help you climb up the side of the ravine, but they don't go all the way up. I went in March when there was still some snow and quite a bit of ice on the waterfalls, which made climbing precarious. It would be much easier going in the summer.
