Vesperman Farms — Attraction in Town of South Lancaster

We were there on a Thursday afternoon and it was a mix of experiences. The main building was nice and clean. The crowd wasn't large but the staff was pretty scarce, even for the size of crowd. The price for the activities seems rather high, given what you're buying access to. There were a couple of calves, a miniature horse and mule, a few pigs and several goats. Otherwise, there were several empty buildings, a couple of tire obstacles for kids, a mini duck race, a very mini zip line, a mini corn maze and an adult corn maze, a pumpkin air cannon and a trebuchet. The corn maze was rather disappointing for us. There were several areas where shortcuts had been trampled in so heavily that the path was hard to determine. The map scale also seemed questionable. There was a good bit of weather blow down but that, of course, was a fact of mother nature and not controllable. We were also supposed to look for letters for a clue but only found one. The air cannon was impressive, as was the trebuchet but we were actually concerned about the safety of the gentleman running that area as he was clearly struggling and unstable while climbing the trebuchet to load it. We didn't go to the pumpkin patch but there were a few decent pumpkins near the building and the prices for them were reasonable but not great. The apple cider donuts were very good. Staff is VERY rude. One in specific a short haired lady, wish I got her name. Have never had a worse experience in my entire life, will not be back and would not recommend unless you want to get yelled at for looking around. You responded saying we tried to come in without paying 3 times we did not try to enter without paying even one time we went out to look and were looking around we were being polite the entire time and we were being understanding to your employee, not once did we go past the do not enter signs, or even attempt to. I told your staff member that she was being rude because she was when we were being polite. I am very displeased with this visit and have came before with no issues. Maybe instead of starting off rude and accusing your customers of things that are 100% not true you could try to be more respectful. I was not upset about your prices and completely understood the rules and followed them. Again, we never tried to enter the area ONCE. I understand that you have problems with this in the past but that is no reason to treat other customers that way. We politely asked if we could take pictures not even in the area of the activities and then got another rude remark saying we need to notify you when we left. I am not okay with being accused of things that aren’t true just to make your business look better....

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We are college students who wanted to have a fun fall evening and went to vesperman farms. When we arrived we saw “Admission” we went inside to see if we still wanted to go inside. I was in the DOORWAY when I was confronted by a worker who said “you have to pay 14 dollars to go in there” and I proceeded to ask my friends when we wanted to do and we decided as a group to leave. On our way out we didn’t want to make the trip a waste of time so we all decided to take a picture outside of the gates. The worker then followed us out and proceeded be extremely rude to all 3 of us. They made condescending comments and made us feels extremely uncomfortable and judged for absolutely no reason.
