Disappointing and I’m going to chalk it up to perhaps going on the wrong day.
There was no sign for the park entrance, the driveway and parking area are rough to say the least, and there was trash on the ground. The rules of this park are very clearly stated on the sign as you enter the trail. Despite the clearly displayed sign upon entering the trail, I noticed several things: A collection of dog poop bags at the base of a tree a group of gentlemen, standing around a cooler drinking and staring at me the whole time which made feel extremely uncomfortable a group of ladies standing around smoking people sitting around the watering hole, throwing objects into the water as children were swimming dogs running around off leash with little to no control from their owners
Yeah, despite all this, I decided to take a walk up the creek bed because I wanted to see if the other parts of this gully. What I found was a shoe here and a sock thrown there. It was at this point that the people that I was with, and I all agreed that we did not feel comfortable being in this place and we...
Read moreThe Gully is a great place to take your family! Especially if it's HOT outside! There are two sections. The first part is when you arrive... There is parking space but be aware there isn't a TON of room. When you walk in there is a waterfall on which you can even jump off and it is deep enough to do so. The second part to the Guly is about 10-20 minutes farther and it's is a little bit of a hike to get there. I don't recommend wearing your best shoes if you choose to do the hike. There are parts where you will have to cross through water (Not deep). it is definitely worth it to do the hike! it is Gorgeous! Not a lot of parking space Refreshing Don't bring good shoes if planning to do Hike, follow the rocks/stream😅 There aren't a ton of bugs
The pictures are from the second gully and the middle picture is from...
Read moreIt was an easy enough hike. Some areas are wet/underwater and require traversing over rocks and riverbed. Hike the entirety of the trail and you'll find the best of the falls in this little 1.5 mile stretch/area. Swim in the little pool in front of it or stand under & and behind it. Nice water level provided by this year's rainfall helps make it a more beautiful and pleasurable experience. Can get busier on the weekends. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and don't bring small children or old people; it's far too easy to slip on the rocks and...
