The camping experience is OK. Some sites are right on top of each other and very uneven. We've had some extremely rowdy neighbors partying very late into the night and no employee presence to quite it down.
The beach is fantastic when it's not crowded, but that's pretty rare. Given the popularity of powerboats in the area, be prepared to deal with a lot of them cruising by relatively close to the swimming area and creating a lot of waves.
Available firewood seems to have been seasoned at the bottom of a pond, just like every state/county park, but plenty available nearby.

The park is so well maintained from all sand beaches, clean bathrooms, hot showers, laundry room, smooth roads and even potable water.
