It's a really nice state park. Has something for everyone. Perfect for the whole family. But expect crowds because it's a well known local gem. Have to pay $9 upon entrance per vehicle. It has a nice little snackbar Cafe and it offers stuff like nachos, fried foods like French fries, fried dough, chicken tenders, and hamburgers, wraps that look like small soft flour tacos, and ice cream. It has an outside shower station to rinse off and bathrooms, and Playground. Two sand beaches that are lifeguarded, divided by a stone barrier. There's tons of seagulls and the marina is perfect for people who want to kayak or canoe or paddle board around. If you like clam shells there's millions of them along the shoreline. Lots of space to put your towel and umbrella and lots of different things to do. But if you like quiet, spacious empty places to find serenity, go somewhere else, this isn't where to go to get connected with nature. But if you're looking for a place for the family to have fun for an afternoon, this will keep everyone...

Would give it 5 stars, however in my 50 years plus of camping here, I have never seen the roads so bad. The maintenance on the roads sucks. It's gives me pause as to if we will come back. Not just this park, every state park we've camped at this season has had cappy roads. When your pulling a 12000lbs trailer you should not feel like your running on a 4 wheeler. Camping wise all the parks are exceptional. It's primarily getting to your camping lot and out of camp that may break an axle or spread your alignment. Was there this year,2025 main entrance still unchanged and bumpy, main road leading to bluff area camping is better fit for a four wheeler than a RV or one pulling one. The staff work very hard keeping up the park, but the ride in and out puts a huge damper on...

Not bad at all! It is REQUIRED that if you take a young child with you, under the age of 10, that they are with an adult. This isnt the type of place where you can just drop your kids off and leave.

If you leave any trash you can get in trouble, and there is also no alcohol allowed. I seen many people drinking, but social distancing, etc.

It can often be VERY busy, and full so I reccomend going earlier in the morning to get a spot, or sitting on the rockier part of the beach.

Parking was almost always full in the lot, so getting there early is also best. Lifeguards were kind of jerks to people, but overall it was a...

The water temperature was perfect for a 97 degree day. There were lots of people having fun. The bathrooms were clean and showers a nice amenity. They offered camp sites and cabins if you want to stay longer than the day and enjoy canoeing, kayaking, or boating with family or friends. Ware water shoes if you dont like stepping on rocks. They only go 30 - 40 feet out and then you hit sand. For only $8 a car, its well worth the money to enjoy clean family fun on a hot day in CNY.

Lovely beach. Pristine water which was a great temperature. Great for young children. Lots of space. Could have down with more lifeguards on duty though. Bathrooms had showers, changing rooms and baby changing mat. Paid $8 for car parking very affordable. Definitely would go back if I was in the area again.

My favorite beach I’ve ever been at anywhere! It was my first time here and I loved it! The sun was shining and the water was very clear and you could swim out very far with a very wide open space between the shore and the buoys. No complaints at all; Fair Haven Beach is the best on Lake Ontario!
