This was a great find. There were 3 people working there. They all stopped what they were doing and walked the 2 of us through their collections. There was a beautifully restored caboose, and a railroad signal tower. We got to ride a man powered rail car. It was so nice to see how excited they all were about their museum pieces!

Absolutely blown away by the experience we had. We stopped here during a recent camping and Renaissance Festival weekend. Two kids and two adults. When we arrived, the hours of operation for that date were taped over. Figuring there was a last minute issue opening up, we decided to just be on our way. Instead, the woman of the man-wife duo operating the museum came by to say they just hosted a private event. She and her husband then gave us a personal tour of the rail museum and let us ride the handcar. We took up about an hour or more of their time. They were so gracious and lovely, especially with our two girls. I highly recommend visiting them if you are nearby. The artifacts are expertly curated and everyone is sure to...

Wonderful little historical museum inside an old school house. Lots of artifacts related to the train station that used to have a hub nearby including an entire model train set of how Sterling and Fair Haven looked like around the turn of the last century. Staff was friendly and gave me an...
