Great place! Very remote feeling, yet close by. Moor your boat at least 60 feet out if staying for 12 hours or more. Nice little sandy bottom swimming hole, considering the Hudson is mostly muddy. There are a couple outhouses for the brave souls but really handy in a pinch. A few downsides: There's no afternoon shade, it can get crowded on popular weekends, the tides keep you on your toes moving the boats in and out, and large vessels regularly pass by without regards to pleasure boaters who are rafted up.
