A Sunday afternoon drive for essentials and a possible glimpse of some Jefferson County fall colors was going along swimmingly and as we were heading for home in Sullytown, Tammy states that she “NEEDS” some pumpkins for our porch and other possible fall decor. A nice day, which has been going our way, no Packer game to see, why would I oppose? “Where?” I asked as we were a block from home. “Just south of town! I have driven by but never stopped. I want to give the business to local people.” Again who am I to prevent her happiness? Coincidentally, I have driven by this farm stand hundreds of times due to living in the area. I did not know who they are, or if I needed what they had for sale as we pulled in. Tracey was going around and providing a friendly smile and greeting while helping the pumpkin purchasers with pricing and/or a helping hand or dolly if they were in the market for one of the Novak’s Gourds of Great Girth! Then it was our turn for interactions with Miss Tracey. This resulted in purchasing some of the most beautiful pumpkins I’d ever seen! I’m by no means a gourd guru, but these orange orbs should be on display all over! The symmetry, lines, proportions, and the stems! Stems only seen in the movies or on a Martha Stewart fall special. Pricing was awesome. I don’t know what a good quality pumpkin should yield on the open market, but for 30 dollars we made the trip 3 miles back north to home with Tammy’s ‘23 Fall Porch Presentation. A quick chat with Tracey reveals her husband Tom is an old schoolmate of mine from Palmyra. Great job guys! I would drive 50 miles for your items! Quality, selections, friendly, great prices, and only 3 miles south! (From my door.) You’ll probably be coming from farther away, no worries. It is well worth the drive! Thank you Novaks! Hi Tom. Great local farm with a really nice selection of pumpkins and squash! Owner is onsite and very helpful in finding what you need. They definitely put a lot of effort into having a nice family owned business. This is mostly a store with a few opportunities for photos, does not have toys, slides, activities or animals but does have...
