Great Park, great trails! I walked the far outer perimeter- I think I missed a couple of trails that would have been a little more outside, but the full loop is approaching 3 miles. Lots of prairie, some woods, all interesting and beautiful. Some mosquitoes on a late August morning, nothing bad, but maybe wear bug spray if you're sensitive. Read moreOk, this review is going to be a little odd. The place itself is a network of paths though tall grass and trees with some picturesque spots to stop and make some memories. That is not the reason I decided to write a review. The bathroom is. Most public restrooms in remote locations are disgusting. Not this one. Very clean, it didn't even smell bad. It has some sort of vent pipe going from the pit of waste below to above the roofline, removing all the bad smells. Amazing engineering that needs to be done more...

I hiked the whole thing today in all of its muddy and slushy glory (it’s March, so it’s understandable) and I can says it’s not amazing for hikers (like myself) but I can see this being a great place to ski or run. 90% prairie with a hint of woods.
