Snug Harbor Marina Inc. — Attraction in Town of Ticonderoga

Went here, bought $100 in gas and spent $25 to rent a wakeboard for 24 hrs. The wakeboard was missing a fin but decided to rent it anyway. When we tried to put it on we realized the left boot was so torn and frayed that you couldn't tighten it at all. Used it a little but with a completely loose left foot and missing a fin it was sliding around too much and decided it was to dangerous to use after a friend had a bad fall on it. Brought it back the next day and they refused to give a refund on the wakeboard cause I had "seen it before renting it". I guess I, a non-wakeboarding-expert, assumed that if they were renting it out it was at least usable. They offered to let us use a tube for free but that was it. Forecast had rain for the next several days so was not interested in that. They guy I returned it to even agreed that the board was trash and shouldn't be rented. Pretty peeved but realistically its only $25. But if they are this stingy on a defective $25 board, I'd be worried about renting a boat and then it being defective. Normally, I have nothing but positives to share about Snug Harbor and their staff. However, on my last visit, my son picked up the boat, and it was literally only 3/4 of a tank full when dispatched. We only noticed this after approx 5 mile drive down to our dock location at Royal Anchorage Way. With a 40 plus gallon tank, that us approximately a $50 fuel deficit that we began with. Very disappointed that management did not offer any type of compensation for this! We filled it in the course of the week at least 3 times exclusively at snug harbor south and again when returned to Snug Harbor north. I have been a Snug Harbor customer since they taking over Werners! My recommendation is; make them fill the tank while watching upon pick up. This should not be necessary but I'm sorry. 50 bucks...
