The Barn at Lord Howe Valley — Attraction in Town of Ticonderoga

We had our wedding at The Barn at Lord Howe Valley in September 2024. This. Venue. Is. Incredible! It was the one and only venue we actually toured in person, because as soon as we saw it we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding.

Of course the views of the Adirondack Mountains are amazing, but what really blew me (the bride) away as an Event Manager/Wedding Planner myself is how well thought out the venue was designed to ensure a perfect wedding day!

The on site bridal suite is stunning and is almost perfectly equipped for your wedding morning, with tons of natural light, multiple makeup chairs, a small refrigerator and counter area for food set up, etc. (The only downside is the detached bathrooms, and in our specific case, the changing partition that was suppose to be in the bridal sweet had apparently been broken and not replaced, so we had to bring in our own so the girls had a private space to change into their dresses. The bridal suite is one large open room) The groomsmen cave was also really cool and included games like shuffle board for the guys to play while they are getting ready.

The covered patio is a beautiful option for an outdoor ceremony without having to worry about rain or too much direct sun, and the venue offers multiple options for a ceremony arch. The patio outside of the main barn is perfect for cocktail hour as well as providing a nice quiet space for guests who don't want to dance to hang out later in the night. (There are string lights and heaters)

The main barn is stunning! All of the tables and chairs, as well as the greenery and lights over the sweetheart table are included. The barn is not only beautiful for guests, but is also very functional for wedding vendors, especially the catering team. (There is even a separate closed off space with a table and chairs for your wedding vendors to eat.)

The customer service is fantastic! We had multiple tours of the venue and never felt rushed, in fact, each person we met with was very happy to show us around. Since our wedding was on a Friday, we were even allowed to set up our decor at the venue two days prior to the wedding, which relieved a lot of stress on the wedding day and allowed me (the bride) to be part of bringing my vision to life.

One of the best things about this venue is how much is included in the one rental fee. In addition to the things already mentioned (the bridal suite, groomsmen cave, reception tables and chairs, options for a ceremony arch) the venue also includes ceremony chairs, cocktail hour tables and chairs, a variety of lawn games, a fire pit (which they will light for you), a built in photo backdrop, and, most incredibly, an entire barn filled with a variety of wedding decor that is yours to use if you wish!

Where do I even begin? My husband and I knew we wanted a wedding venue in upstate NY, but we looked through hundreds of venues only to visit four. My Mom came with me to the tour at The Barn at Lord Howe Valley and immediately we knew it was the venue that we had been looking for. We ended up canceling our third tour because we had found the one! I have no words to describe the beauty of the venue itself. If you can imagine a literal valley falling between hills, beautiful landscaping, views of a horizon so incredible that it makes you feel like you are in another world itself, this venue is for you. Not to mention the insanely gorgeous barn(s) themselves. While we were in the midst of wedding planning, they built another barn that somehow matched the beauty and serenity of the first, which I didn’t think was possible. We used this new barn for our back-up plan when it rained.

However, the number one reason I chose this venue was because of Sarah, the venue coordinator, and the staff. From day one, they made us feel like we were the only ones booking the place haha. They were timely with getting back to us, answered all of our questions (and for a type A planner I had many), helpful, genuine, and they always went above and beyond to make sure we had the most perfect day, which it was! It took me so long to write this review because I still can’t believe how magical this place is. This venue is a hidden gem, and any brides or grooms to be would be so lucky to have their special day here. The inside of the barn is like a magical castle and all of our guests are still talking about it 3 months later. We could not have asked for a more perfect venue. They were flexible during the rain and acknowledged all of the anxieties surrounding a wedding. The bridal suit is to die for and I can’t wait to see more pictures of wonderful couples getting married here. Sarah, thank you so much for being THE venue coordinator that every bride hopes and dreams for. We are so grateful for you all and Garrett and I are so happy we chose The Barn at Lord Howe Valley for our wedding. I will always recommend this venue to any future couple because that was our best decision...

We recently got married at the barn this summer. From the moment we signed our contract, all the way through to the day after our wedding the barn was absolutely perfect. Not only is it a beautiful landscape, beautiful pavilion to get married under, the barn itself has a rustic but stunning reception area, but the staff you are dealing with are out of this world. They do absolutely everything they can to make your day as perfect as can be. We were so impressed with Sarah and her uncle. They took on multiple roles, placed all of our decore accordingly and made our morning worry free. Even with a last minute change of decision for my father daughter dance, they were ready to help on a nick of a dime. They were lenient where possible and allowed us to drop things off on Wednesday given we were lucky enough that there was no Friday wedding. They also allowed us to pick up the next morning with no time stressor. The bridal suite and groomsmen suite are absolutely perfect. The new bathrooms were ready just in time for us and they are stunning, along with everything else. The landscaping is well kept and the flowers are all beautiful. Trust me, you will not regret...
