Absolutely beautiful. This is an area that has something to do or see for everyone, no matter how young or old.
They have quirky and odd tours and sites to see. There’s a lot of history in this area As well as museums. You have the lake that you can do a boat tour on. There’s also boat tours on the Erie canal. In this area, you also have wildlife refuses, botanical gardens, and I know it sounds odd, but they also have cemetery tours. There are several museums as well. If you are a person who loves the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” then there is a museum specifically dedicated to this movie and while your in the area don’t forget to stop by and see the George Bailey bridge.
Then, of course, there are the wineries if you are wine enthusiasts you can definitely get your fill of wine tasting. If you make your trip in advance, you can also schedule with a wine tour with a car company to drive you to and from the wineries. There are car companies that charge an hourly rate, block tours such as 3,4 or 8 hours and number of people.
If you’re not into wine so much, you can do a combination tour of a winery and brewery. Also, in this area are cideries and distilleries.

Since this is farm /rural area, it may be safer to set the next stop on the GPS. It can be challenging to locate the winery entrance then quickly turn off the road. Right on the Seneca lake wine trail near watkins glen state park this area has a lot to offer to visitors of all ages. There are the lovely wineries in the wine trail that offer great local wines, beautiful lake views from their tasting decks and cool ideas for picnic lunches. Watkins Glen state park is a stone's throw away with beautiful waterfalls and stunning gorges. There's the Watkins Glen grand prix car racing in late summer.
