A Beautiful place with a lot of potential, can't find a better place to take a nice walk. Hoping for a better summer this coming year. Very nice place for a picnic with the kids also, clean and well kept.

I have only experienced one summer at this park but it's the nearest one to us so it's not really worth traveling too far out of the way. The water wasn't accessible for the majority of the season due to algae, which is out of their control so I get it. However I was slowly riding my electric scooter way out of the way of other people during opening season, I got stopped by what I thought was police but turned out to be security. Super rude, told me to "pack it up", didn't explain any rules or anything. Went and looked into the Dorchester rule book and I didn't see anything about electric scooters not being allowed you just have to use them safely, unless I was reading...

I pretty much hang out at the same Pavillion and the same table every time I've come. The distance to the bathroom seems to be just right. Not so far that I piss myself, but not so close that I have to sit there awkwardly waiting for the pee to come and having people wonder if I'm struggling with a number 2. Why doesn't anyone ever wonder if you are struggling with a number 1. The food here was eh... someone brought expensive pies no one ate, so their brother took them home. I am someone. The playground was fun. Would have enjoyed it better without the...

Dorchester is a peaceful little park that offers a good selection of activities. There are many picnic tables, a couple of pavilions, some volleyball nets, a small playground, a boat launch + boat rentals, fishing, a walking/biking path with some decent views of the park on the dike (around 5 miles from the parking lot and back), and a small beach on the lake- there's a solid chance the beach won't be open due to blue green algae. The park is dog friendly, carry in-carry out, and doesn't charge an entrance fee.

I was just passing through Binghamton, and this place is a jem!!! Spent 2 days exploring the hiking trails and kayaking. There is plenty of space for family picnics, with tables and grills, and also overnight camping sites with fire rings. Kayaking is the cheapest I have seen around, with a lot of different boating options. Also, whitney Point Dam Lookout is only a mile up the road for a perfect sunset viewing.

Well maintained. User friendly, except for the gulls. But I never liked sea gulls to begin with. The bio break rooms are nice. Ample pavillion space. Picnic tables and BBQ pits sprinkled liberally throughout. Being the children, maybe their grandparents, some fishing poles. Enjoy the day at Dorchester Park. I promise to bring my trunks the next time I'm there. 😐🤨🤔🤫😂
