I really don’t like giving bad reviews. I mostly post 5 stars but man after a week in the finger lakes and many wonderful experiences, this place really stands out as deserving a bad review.

When my husband and I walked in, the woman (owner?) basically greeted us by asking us to get out of her way. We had not had the time to study the foot traffic of the space so we didn’t realize we were in the way but instead of saying something like “hey guys, welcome, there’s an open spot at the counter, we’re a bit busy at the moment but I’ll be with you soon”, we got a “can you stand over there?”. So I asked for a menu and she pointed over to the bar. From there, we looked at the menu and feeling not very welcome there we decided we’d just get a glass and sit outside to enjoy the view. The gentleman working there finally came over to us. I asked him what he would suggest for a dry white wine, he asked “what do you like to drink?” I said maybe Pinot Grigio? He just pointed at the Pinot Grigio on the menu. Cool. Thanks for that. Never would have gotten there on my own. So I ordered a glass and I kid you not, it was maybe 2.5 or 3 oz…so $12 for basically a half pour.

My husband then made the calculated decision that he didn’t even care about trying the wine here so he ordered a beer.

Giving this place an extra star because the view of the vineyard outside was nice but the customer service was insulting. I would...

This was my first time trying this winery. I was with a group of 8 in total, we visit finger lakes wineries often. While the wine was good. The owners( I assume) were not. Someone in our party called about 10 minuets before arriving to make sure they were open, and of course they said yes. But nothing about having to make a reservation. When we arrived, we opened the door and the woman sitting at one of the tasting tables did not greet us- instead she said "HOW many of you ARE there?" I said we have 8. She and the man she was sitting with blankly stared at us. It was awkward, after an awkward silence, I said should we have called to let you know we were coming? She said yes its very simple online to make a reservation. Then said proceded to pick up her and the man's lunch and seat us at the table. Without cleaning it. And said something about us getting there in time because they had finished lunch. Then the girl who poured our wine did not explain the wines at all and made us feel as though we were an inconvenience for wanting to try different wines. I believe she said "it's easier if you all try the same thing". we did try.the wines And they were decent. But no one bought anything and we were all extremely offended at how we were made to feel. Will not...

Me and a good friend of mine decided to visit some local wineries, Bet the farm Winery being our first stop. The tasting went well and our server was delightful. There were 2 other people in the building (I’m guessing the owners or staff), who didn’t introduce themselves, but went on and on about my outfit and made comments that really made me question us human beings. It was a cold day with about an inch of snow on the ground, I made a risky decision to wear ripped jeans with flat shoes that were exposing the top of my feet. They said things like “ you need to get some boots like your friend” “do you know what season it is right now” etc. this went on as we were walking out the door. This might sound petty of me to leave a review about this experience but what if these were the only clothes I owned, what if I couldn’t afford nice boots or “wool socks”? This experience opened my eyes and I think we as humans need to think before we speak and be more understanding and aware that there are people out there who are...

We were glad we stopped. Not right on the water and from the outside didn't seem to have the typical winery look (more of a working winery vibe). However once inside, it was pretty nice. We were greeted when we arrived and found out they were actually not open (stopped on a Tuesday). However, they let us come in anyways and enjoy samplings (thank you!). When you enter from the lot, please note that you actually go around to the rear (vineyard side, not road side). There is a door and once inside, there is a tasting bar and unique/different tables and seating. More limited but friendly staff (they are hiring more). The dry Riesling was really good. They had a couple bubbly wines that were exceptional (dry side).

My husband and I (and our 3 year old, Hannah Banana) had a lovely visit to Bet the Farm Winery in July. The founder was actually the one that did the tasting with us and the whole experience was really special. She really took her time going over the wines and our kiddo enjoyed the juice. Great selection of drier wines, both white and red, such a fan of the Cayuga White! The views were breathtaking. Can’t wait to come back and visit! Thanks again for the great tasting!

Them he wine was very good. The owners are very knowledgeable about the different wines and provided great detail about the different grapes. The atmosphere is very relaxing with outside seating available with beautiful views of the vineyard and the hills. They have a nice selection of dry white and red wines. There a couple sweeter wines but the majority are dry which is my preference. We did the wine and chocolate experience which I highly recommend.
