I had the privilege to attend the wild rice pancake breakfast this morning, and while the pancakes themselves were great the service needs to be improved. When I tried to get coffee and juice the lady working the counter informed me that I could only get juice using the small cup (around shot glass sized). I complied, however upon returning to refill my juice cup another cup for my grandma. The lady made a very passive aggressive comment “I see you found a way to get exactly what you want” I replied “oh this is for my grandma” and she then accused me of lying. Which was completely rude and uncalled for. The trading post was great and the pancakes were fantastic, however someone needs to have a serious talk about manners to the staff. Times are tough in America, but the stinginess over orange juice reminds me a bit too much of the tough times of the wild and lawless frontier....

One of the most fun activities to do! We had time to kill on our drive and the puppy needed a walk, too! This place is a hidden gem! We had never heard of it and are so happy we stopped! We did the tour with 3 others in a different group and there was plenty of room and Angelique was out tour guide and we could listen to her and her knowledge, honestly all day. Thank you! After the tour, we walked around, we had the whole place to ourselves. It was so fun and just what we needed. Bathrooms were phenomenally cleaned and the museums were very welcoming and wonderful. It was our family of 4, the teenagers loved it! So fun and we would definitely stop back! Pam, was very sweet and accommodating as well! Go here! Such a...

This a great experience covering the early fur trade days. They have recreated fort on orginal site, trapper cabin, great history on logging and fur trapping/trading. BONUS, If you visit in late July, they have a annual Rendezvous. GREAT FAMILY FUN. People dressed in period clothing, living in tents, cooking on open fires. Black powder shooting, axe throwing, canon fire demonstration. There's food, vendors selling local wares, blacksmiths. Great time

This is a gem of an opportunity to learn the history of this geographic area, especially how people (traders and Native Americans) lived here in the early 1800’s!! There is much to see and do... the tours and interpreters are top notch - knowledgeable, entertaining, and sincere. The gift shop is wonderful with a diverse offering of souvenirs and all of the staff are warm and welcoming. I highly recommend visiting... I will be returning!

We found this place to be very educational....and extremely beautiful. We learned a lot about fur trading and life in this area back in the 1800s....and cannot wait to come back for the Rendezvous celebration next Summer, to learn even more about this place. The staff was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable, and we had a great time. We highly recommend stopping here for an awesome day.
