Simply sensational! Dryer Road Park is a perfect example of what can be done with a little ingenuity and access. The park features a lacrosse field, soccer fields, a playground, pavillion and public restroom. But it's the Mountain Bike trails that are at the heart of this area. From a pump track, to slalom course, to various jump lines and a dedicated skills area, alongside a variety of trails of all difficulty levels, including a Cross Country course, this place is simply a mecca for those who love or are learning to love the sport of MTB! Check it out for your self, with friends or with your family and you won't be dissapointed, no matter how far you travel. Plenty of parking, shady area for a picnic and a bike repair stand ensure that your day at DRP will be something that compells you to leave a ridiculously detailed review on...
Read moreDryer road park is one the older places to ride in the Rochester area, and still gets a lot of riders. The crowning part of the park (to me anyway) are the miles of mountain bike trails. The general layout is that there are two main feeder trails up at the top of the hill, collector years at the bottom and a number of trails that connect them. Trails are well marked, with certain trails being one way due to difficulty level on the downhills or the steepness of the uphills. Also one point to keep in mind is that these are shared trails. Bikers yield to hikers.. go have...
Read moreMy 12-yo son wants to do mountain biking, so we decided to check out this park first despite my friends’ many suggestions for beginners. The two main reasons are the distance to our home and their “looking cool” obstacle course from Google reviews. It looks even better now. Perfect for kids. Of course adults as well. The GROC biking group has regular meetups here as far as I know. On a weekend evening I would see 7-10 cars (amazingly, all of the bike racks look different from each other), totaling 15 bikes maybe... and still running into no one on the trails. We plan to come every week now. Helmets...
