Wonderful experience learning about Seneca culture here. The FdM:Arch designed building is a nice simple backdrop for the rich cultural displays in and outside of the center. My favorites are the models of the longhouse and village, as well as the wampum exhibits. The screening room showed the turtle island creation story, which was a great visual depiction (award winning movie with cultural icons, dance, and song). But the piece de resistance is the longhouse, recreated on the top of the hill, above the center, filled with artifacts and recreations to fit the period. No barriers, you walk openly through it!

I have not been to Gonondagan in a very long time. The festival was fantastic and getting to see Derek Miller and Gary Palmer live was just amazing. The cultural center is fantastic. This was my first time seeing the center and I would highly recommend making a day of the park. The hiking trails are all very easy and informative with historical markers along the way explaining the Senecas use of the land .

Great place to visit for native American art and historical knowledge. I came for a field trip and throughly enjoyed the experience. Walk along the trail, go inside a life sized replica of the clans home, explore the native American artwork. Lots to do. Staff friendly and eager to share knowledge of their ancestors.

Ever since I first learned of the Iroquois in 8th grade, I have had a fascination with Native American culture from a historical and anthropological standpoint. I often looked at drawn pictures in the history textbooks in my attempt to "put myself in the moment mentally".

A great statement to the Nation and their stories! Regardless of risks, they took precautions, and showed up to tell stories and be engaging, and even though it rained almost the whole day, someone was up at the long house for folks to experience the past in the present! Go experience and support our brothers...

The museum was well laid out and informative. I especially enjoyed learning of language and translation of "devourer of towns". The staff kept awkwardly following us around, which made the experience a but uncomfortable. Especially since the museum was packed with people due to celebrations. Wonder why they chose to follow us? Overall good experience and would recommend. Hopefully their staff can do some training to address why they closely follow some patrons and not others as it was embarrassing and im sure other patrons were wondering if my family was up to...
