Wonderful experience learning about Seneca culture here. The FdM:Arch designed building is a nice simple backdrop for the rich cultural displays in and outside of the center. My favorites are the models of the longhouse and village, as well as the wampum exhibits. The screening room showed the turtle island creation story, which was a great visual depiction (award winning movie with cultural icons, dance, and song).

Read moreThe museum was well laid out and informative. I especially enjoyed learning of language and translation of "devourer of towns". The staff kept awkwardly following us around, which made the experience a but uncomfortable. Especially since the museum was packed with people due to celebrations. Wonder why they chose to follow us? Overall good experience and would recommend. Hopefully their staff can do some training to address why they closely follow some patrons and not others as it was embarrassing and im sure other patrons were wondering if my family was up to...
