The Ballroom at Carey Lake — Attraction in Town of Walworth

The Ballroom At Carey Lake is a true hidden gem!! I cannot say enough great things about Jody, her team, the beautiful venue, and the overall experience we had. If you haven't visited yet, absolutely do so - and if you have - stop thinking about it and book it!

To start, I was an extremely organized and detail oriented bride. This was worrisome to me as I knew exactly what I was hoping for. Jody welcomed my plans and ideas and her and her team were on point with me and my vision. They seriously nailed it! Jody was always available to answer any questions, offer ideas or suggestions, and was comforting with assurance of the day running smoothly. She did not disappoint!

The food was great and the portions were perfect. I highly recommend attending the tasting event that is offered as well. We found it extremely helpful in choosing our meal choices, all the while seeing the venue set up with optional décor. Unlike most other venues, Jody kindly offers usage of her décor at no cost. This was a huge expense we no longer needed to budget for.

The venue offered many other great features we loved as well such as: -The indoor and outdoor option for our ceremony. This was very comforting knowing that if the weather wasn't good, we still had the option of a beautiful ceremony venue inside. Many beautiful areas/options for photographs. Early entry (so happy I did it) Bridal suite usage (all vendors came to me - hair, make up, etc) Bathrooms both in the ballroom and near the entry. Sounds silly, but trust me, you'll appreciate it come the day! It was nice for proximity reasons and if you have several guests, handicapped guests, etc.

At the end of the evening, Jody and her team had packed everything up for us which made our departure very smooth. The entire day was perfect and went more seamlessly than I ever could have expected. I sincerely mean it when I say Jody and her team went above and beyond and The Ballroom At Carey Lake will undoubtedly offer you the most beautiful and perfect wedding day!

I cannot say enough how much I recommend the Ballroom at Carey Lake. I loved the privacy of the venue, the environment was so romantic, light and airy, and the grounds were just gorgeous! my wedding guests still comment on how truly beautiful the venue is- its breathtaking! Getting married there felt like something out of a fairytale, and how awesome that this venue exists so close to home?!

Jody was absolutely fantastic to work with throughout the planning process- her suggestions, attention to detail and communication was truly top notch. When my husband and I first met with her, we knew walking away from our first meeting that we were in VERY good hands. You can tell right off the bat the she is a perfectionist and truly will pull out all the stops to make sure your wedding day is nothing shy of perfect. We feel like we gained a friend throughout this process, I cannot sing her praises enough. Jody made planning (what is usually a stressful part of weddings) so effortless and easy and we cannot thank her enough for that.

Carey Lake blew every expectation we had for our wedding out of the water- the atmosphere, the food, the service, and bar was absolutely incredible. My guests commented on just how good the food was all night and have continued to send me messages about it! We decided to do the firework show too which was such a fun touch and was an amazing way to end the night. Jody and her team at the Ballroom at Carey Lake absolutely blew us away with how amazing they are at what they do. Every bride and groom feels some stress leading up to their wedding day, and Jody made all of that stress vanish the day of when I saw how organized, and on top of everything she is. Jody had suggestions leading up to our wedding that I could not be more grateful for, as they definitely made the day better for us and our guests. Jody knew exactly how run the processional of the ceremony, the ballroom looked perfect and better than I imagined, the food was amazing and the wait staff did a great, and the bar was just what everyone needed to fuel a night full of dancing. When we booked with Jody, she provided a list of recommended vendors which was so helpful as we did end up booking several of them, and these vendors were also great to work with. Jody took so much stress off of me and my now husband, and helped coordinate the services of the other vendors that made for a smooth night. Not to mention that the property with the lake, the fountain, and the gazebo were beautiful and made for the perfect backdrop to our ceremony and photos. The building also has a bridal suite that was ideal for my bridesmaids, my mom and MIL, and I to get ready in.
