This is Ivanka in XC ♡♡♡ - there are not enough words to say about Jordanville. It is all you need to see before you see the Face of Christ in Eternity. You just need to come and experience this beauty for yourself! The morning starts early with a spectacular 6AM Solemn Divine Liturgy to kick-start your day then a trapeza-style breakfast with only the best hospitality and healthy Russian fare from the kitchen staff and Fr. Tikhon who helps serve! Best quality milk from the cows of Jordanville as a staple beverage adds to the quality of the meal! Then a few hours pass by to observe obediences: mail room (Fr. Paul), candles (Fr. Peter), bees (Fr. Paisios), etc. I highly recommend visiting the beloved Iconography studio and the Icon printing studio. The Monks that run that, Fr. Gabriel and Br. David are skilled and knowledgeable. May their work be blessed! You also have plenty of options to take hikes, visit local churches, and pray with very holy Saints, like Seraphim of Sarov and Saint John Kronstadt. In the evening, back to the church for dinner and then vigil to prayerfully close out the evening! Hierarchical Divine Liturgy Sundays with our dear Vladyka Luka who is the abbot! Don't miss your chance to light candles, write down those prayer intentions, and get your prosphora...

A Sacred Oasis of Peace and Spirituality

This Orthodox monks’ monastery, located in a peaceful natural setting, is a true oasis of spiritual renewal. Over many visits, I have found it to be a place where the beauty of the services and the sublime chanting draw you into a deep connection with the divine. The monastery’s environment allows you to feel the presence of God, offering a profound sense of tranquility and reflection.

The monks, along with the priests, are always willing to share their wisdom and guidance, making each visit a spiritually enriching experience. The iconography throughout the monastery is stunning, and they have a wonderful selection of books that deepen your understanding of the faith. The produce from the monastery, along with other offerings, is of exceptional quality and a testament to the monks’ dedication.

This monastery is not just a retreat from the world; it is a place where the soul can find true rest, making it a cherished destination for anyone seeking spiritual...

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE GUEST HOUSE:

We we’re traveling on a budget to Syracuse, NY, so we decided to book a room inside their guest house at the Russian Monastery. We weren’t expecting much, so we were fine with twin beds, and no amenities in the home. However, at the end of our stay they chose to charge us $240 for two nights!! We felt completely ripped off, considering the condition of the room we stayed in. It had no television, the beds were as hard as rock, walls were scratched, cabinet drawers had knobs falling off, and it was just in overall bad condition. We are probably going to stay at a normal hotel next time where they would charge less, and we would have a decent...
