Based on the complete disrespect of this owner I kind of expected this response, and to be accurate 8 e-mails not 16 (but not easy trying to coordinate on only two week days offered), and of course nothing about our time of having to take tree down and spend half a day dealing with a bitter owner who instead of just being apologetic is now just being outright dishonest about what happened. "So What" is how we started, really?, nothing said until the owner exploded over the asking of a couple harmless questions. Really shocked at his response. We showed up and were nothing but pleasant and all you expect is common decency instead of annoyance. Don't know how we weren't appreciative of his time, other way around, who's the customer anyway? You'd think we took half his day, unbelievable. Oh and yes, we received a $4 discount, if you can call that a discount, probably didn't have change and we didn't ask, thank you. My suggestion, go to a tree farm where the owner appreciates his customers and above all is kind. Should've took the money and ran instead of paying another $40 for over priced tree and nasty attitude.
our experiences with staff and farm had been very good until we tried to return a tree this week that was quickly losing needles. we had to return it during the week because the owner said the weekend was too busy This required a few e-mails back and forth (maybe 3) to coordinate because owner indicated he did not want to speak on the phone. When we arrived my wife then asked a few questions (keep in mind we're only ones there) about prices and types of trees. At that, the owner blew up and started speaking to me about my wife's incessant e-mails and the fact that she can't read prices (right there in black and white) on the chalk board. Sure everyone has a bad day, but to demean my wife by speaking to me as if she wasn't there is unbelievably rude and disrespectful. Not sure how someone can become so unhinged with a couple innocuous questions. Even after he apparently calmed down and helped us with our tree( note no discount for bad tree and additional time to come back, just up charge), not even an apology to my wife. ...
Read moreMy mom suggested for us to cut our own tree down this year, after having many years of our faux Christmas tree. I have little ones and she wanted for us to create a fun memory for them. I wasn't too thrilled about it but called to make a reservation. Upon arrival, the greeter at the booth was very welcoming and explained everything to us and wished us well. We received a ticket which also marked our parking spot. Walking towards the trees, it was just such a wonderful feeling and my children began to get excited (so did I too, I'm not that much of a grinch). The young man at the entrance of the trees explained everything to us and we thought to either get a precut tree or to start chopping and we voted to chop! We picked up a saw and scouted for the perfect tree and finally found one. The sawing took some elbow grease, which I'm sure was entertaining to passersby, with my expressions of "omg I wasn't expecting it to be like this!" We finally got it cut down! We had to carry it (up the hill) for the staff to package up and get it ready for car mounting. We gave them our ticket and went over to pay and get some hotdogs and hot coa coa. The young lady in the food truck was pleasant and it was great to eat after all that struggling. There is a fire place but we chose to eat on the other side. We finally walked back to our vehicle, in which we didn't have a mount on the vehicle so someone was waiting for us to open our doors. The young man mounted our tree and it stayed on tight until we got home. As we exited, the young lady who greeted us wished us a merry Christmas and showed sincere happiness when I said we had such a great time. What a wonderful experience and we are ready for next year. Everyone we encountered was friendly and courteous and it was such a smooth process. This experience was great and hopefully my children can chip in with the chopping next year and not stand there and...
Read moreWhat an amazing place/grounds. We stumbled on this going to another tree farm and thought we'd give it a try. Limited tagged selection but once we found our tree my wife and kids were in love. My kids and I cut the tree down, drag up the hill so we can get it ready to be trimmed and set up for transport. The worker (I guess boss) Carl claimed it was the wrong tag on the tree. My wife and I with no hesitation said "oh ok, well whatever tag that was supposed to be there we would still like the tree." Carl goes on to say "I tagged all these trees are you sure you didn't switch the tags" He accused us in front of our children and ruined the experience we shared as a family. At this point I was so distraught That I really wanted to just leave but after about a hour of looking and my kids loving that tree we bought it anyway. Its not over... We then go pay for the tree (with the proper tag on it) and head back to my car where they drop it off and set it up to your car. Out of the 5 trees he dropped off he stops at mine and proceeds to ask for the receipt (as if I didn't pay) and if that wasn't enough he scared my wife and son because he had to yell it out over his truck. Now my wife is African American and I'm Puerto Rican and everyone one that was in my group time slot was white. This year has been tough on our family and on this country and I'm sure it has affected his business.Carl was extremely unprofessional and let a misunderstanding ruin my children's first experience cutting their own tree. I had to give my children a talk about why we were treated differently on the hour 1/2 car ride home. What should have been a memory we shared turning into a family tradition was turned into a lesson my children will...
