Beautiful farm and store. However, I went with my family, including 2 small children, on the last Saturday in September. While I understand the selection is usually not as good by the end of September, there was an older “gentleman” yelling and cursing at us that we were not allowed to pick apples that we couldn’t reach from the path, meaning no stepping forward to get apples at eye level within the trees and no reaching on tip toes to get apples above us. He also would not allow us to pick up the children to reach apples. Additionally, he kept roping off sections with apples in reach as we neared them, insisting the apples were not ripe, further upsetting us and the children. I completely understand why climbing trees would not be allowed, and we did not attempt to; but after paying $26 for a bag of apples, you bet we were doing anything we could to fill our bag, or at least go home with SOMETHING. Without reaching into the trees or above our heads, there were no apples available to us. Forget the fact that the children couldn’t pick apples (the whole point in going) with this asinine “no reaching” rule screamed at us, how were we supposed to go home with anything at all? Well when we calmly asked just that, we were told “I don’t give a f—“. Even one of the younger employees said to another confused customer “what the hell are you supposed to do?” So we ignored the cranky old man and picked the children up to reach the apples and stepped into the branches off the path anyway. But still, I was sad to have given them any of my money. Definitely not appropriate to curse in front of small children or to treat customers with such disdain. Will...

My recent visit to Soons Orchards was a truly delightful orchard experience. From the moment I stepped onto the grounds, the picturesque surroundings and inviting atmosphere created the perfect setting for a memorable day out.

The impressive variety of apples available for picking, coupled with the friendly guidance from the staff, made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. The well-maintained orchard added to the charm, providing a bountiful adventure with apples aplenty.

The on-site market boasted a diverse selection of fresh produce, tempting homemade treats, and artisanal goods. Unable to resist, I brought home some of their delectable apple cider and homemade pies – a decision that left me without any regrets. The outstanding quality of these products underscores Soons Orchards' commitment to delivering top-notch, farm-fresh offerings.

Adding to the appeal were the family-friendly activities and events that provided an extra layer of fun during my visit. Soons Orchards is more than just a place to pick fruits; it's a destination for creating lasting memories with loved ones.

In conclusion, Soons Orchards surpassed my expectations in every aspect. The combination of a charming orchard, friendly staff, and exceptional products make it a must-visit for anyone in search of a genuine farm-to-table experience. Without a doubt, I'll be returning to Soons Orchards for more seasonal delights...

Soons is our go-to farm market and orchard, and has been for over twenty years. The friendliest and most knowledgeable folk you'll ever meet work there, available to guide you and answer questions during your visit. Whether you're interested in buying ingredients for your own baked creation, or purchasing one of Soons amazing pies, you'll find what you want and need here.

Their store is loaded with local fare ranging from... well... apples of course to jams to vegetables to fudge to fresh apple cider and more. Don't forget the apple cider donuts - they are THE BEST! You've heard the phrase, "like a kid in a candy shop", well, that's how we feel when visiting Soons. There is much to see and do. Don't buy apples from the supermarket, when you can get FARM FRESH right here!

Watch their website to see when u-pick is available. There is a special monthly event called "Dinner at the Farm", which is an amazing farm-to-table dining experience. Check the website, Facebook, and join their mailing list for updates.

Our children have visited Soons over the years on school trips, and we make regular family visits. Follow them on Facebook, and watch as Sharon "goes live" & walks you through another adventure on the farm :)

Conveniently located just off County Rt.6 and I.84 in New Hampton, Soons is HIGHLY ENJOYABLE and HIGHLY...

First time visiting and certainly not my last! Very friendly employees. Everything is fresh! I grabbed some brownies, chocolate chip cookies and a plain apple cider donut. (Can’t wait to eat them in moderation lol) They have fresh/organic beef, cider, veggies, candies, fudge, bread, cider, homemade chili and much more. Very cute farm with lots to do. As the farms are opening up for the spring, I can’t wait to visit during the summer for more activities and fun! They have live music and a taproom! Ample onsite parking and family friendly as well.
