The sites leave you wondering, all are 30 amp electric with the hook up to the extreme back and not always easy to reach without a long power cord. Some pedestals are on a side that campers had to pull in not back in. Obstacles in sites include tree overhang, trees close to the side of RV making it difficult for RVs with slides, unlevel sites with no gravel only dirt. Some site had overgrowth with vines that have large thorns. The other problem was in 4 days a local police car came in once during the early afternoon drove to the office turned around and drove off, many vehicles came in at night after 11:00 pm and did the loop and back out far exceeding the 10 mph speed limit and many with loud music. If the county would put a little effort into site maintenance this would be a real...
Read moreI love Webster Park. Today's visit dealt a sad dose of reality compared to when we were there just a week ago. The lot by Mill Creek and the pier is closed. You can still get around to the lakefront if you cut up the path or go down the staircase at the White House, but there isn't much to go down to. The wooden bridge is just about level with the creek and gets hammered with huge waves. The old foot path by the benches is the driest place if you're brave enough to explore or if you want cool pictures. The pier itself is almost nonexistent. It's a...
Read moreGreat little campground! There are about 25 sites with electric 30 amp hookups. Water is available from spigots if your hose is long enough or you have a jerrycan. Firewood is available on site or nearby.
Some sites open directly onto the playground in the campground. It's great for families with playground age children. The kids can play while the adults stay on their site. The playground isn't anything fancy but it's fun for kids nonetheless. If you want peace and quiet, get a site elsewhere in the campground.
There is hiking available right past the campground office. It's gently rolling but has lots of roots in the pine forest areas.
This is our second visit here for camping and it definitely won't...
