2/24/2022 Today my dog, Odin & I visited Betty. & Wilbur Davis SP in Schenevus NY. We hiked the entire “Andys Trail”. Always enjoy this park/trail… Today we were the only souls hiking. The trail was very easily navigated IF you wore boots and cleats! The trail changed frequently between grassy to watery to icy …a wonderful adventure/challenge for sure! Sun was warm but the breeze was frigid! I was glad to finally find nice trail maps inside the “register” boxes…many thanks to whomever is responsible for those! We took tyme to “chill out”on the chairs on one of the woods cabins…it was sweet solitude/silence…beautiful setting! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL...
   Read moreWe just stayed in Cabin 3 and had an amazing stay. The staff at the park were very friendly and helpful. Pros: very clean, plenty of space for 6 of us (2 adults & 4 children), full kitchen with utensils, etc, ponds for fishing, playground for the kids. A nice woman called before our stay to remind us of some important details and I found this to be very helpful. Cons: no linens provided and you have to book a minimum 5 night stay. We had friends who traveled with us, but they were only staying 2 nights, so they stayed somewhere else. Overall we are very pleased with our stay and...
   Read moreBetty & Wilbur State Park was a wonderful campground that is close to both Albany and Syracuse. It is definitely worth your consideration for a family/friends gathering or just to get away from everything. It has very private sites with modern cottages and sits on top of a hill facing west, so there are some amazing views and sunsets. It's nice and cool there on hot summer days and also tends to be breezy, so bring some warmer clothes for evenings. Cooperstown, Oneonta and Glimmerglass State Park are nearby for plenty of activities. Highly...
