A friend of mine suggested that I should check out Lester’s Bison Farm. Since I do not know anything about bison meat I decided to take a ride and educate myself. It is always so relaxing driving through Wisconsin nature, incredibly peaceful. Farm is very easy to find and you don’t have to worry about parking considering there are plenty of spots available right in front of family store. Let me tell you that I was in for a true educational lesson. Lester’s Bison Farm is family own, next to it you can see all bisons either standing proud or laying down, something incredibly magnificent to see. Lester’s grandson welcomed me and explained all details about different cuts of meats, as well as how to prepare them to perfection. He took such a pride talking about family business, from growing up to learning all that he could from his amazing grandparents and uncle moreover how much being part of family legacy means to him. Extremely polite young gentleman, very knowledgeable and respectful. Many young people nowadays choose not to work hard like their grandparents or parents, seeing how much Lester’s grandson loves farm and being in a store is admirable! Besides bison meet, you can find pork, beef, chicken, eggs, chilli, socks, scarves, and more. I highly recommend to everyone to check out this one of...

We had been looking forward to visiting Lester's Bison Farm for a couple of months and finally made the 1-hour trip to get there. I have to say we were a bit disappointed. The store is a very small country-type store, and there were no bison to be seen as they had been shipped out-of-state so the fields could be seeded.

We really did like Lester a lot. He is a very friendly, nice person. The store is very small and didn't offer much in selection of portion sizes. What was available was reasonable and of excellent quality. We did buy a couple roasts and some bacon.

I don't think we would make the trip again, but we are both glad that we made the...

It was great. Charlie is running the store. I called ahead to tell him what I was looking for and he had things in the cooler for me to select from. This is my go to place for awesome Bison meat. Plus, the dogs like to play fetch with tennis balls which is an added fun time if you like dogs. I come all the way from eastern Illinois to get this great food. Go there! You...

What a fun place! Amazing meats! It's insane! The owner is one of the nicest people on this Earth. The large selection of top grade proteins they carry are not inexpensive BUT they are worth every penny! I've never have better elk in my 50 years. They have a very attractive brick road up to their store albeit quite narrow.

Staff were friendly and charming, however it didn't seem to me as the store got a lot of business. Items on shelves were dusty and although there was a variety of frozen meat, it was really expensive. The land and bison were were fun to watch and photograph.
