A 15 minute easy hike through a well shaded trail leads to a clearing of a rock cliff that has a beautiful view of the Adirondacks mountains. We went on memorial weekend in May but the cold front brought 60° weather that made the hike very tolerable. But take bug sprays with you, as the thousands of mosquitos were brutal and not deterred by the colder weather. There were swarms of them that you had to squat them away from your face. Read moreFabulous view to hike up to. We made it up in 32 minutes, and not even in shape. The hike is easy. I saw people complaining about bugs, we were lucky today as it was in the 50s and windy. Mud isn't bad either, as we had a few dry days. There are wood planks installed where the mud is consistent. Passed a lot of people with dogs. The woods are quiet, the trail is clearly visible. There are only spots for 4 cars in the parking lot, but parking is available by the side...
