Nice scenic trails that lead to the beautiful Lake Michigan view. RV spots are nice, ours was mostly sunny and large open spot with a nicely positioned fire ring. We went with site 11 and loved the location. Can get a little bit of "high traffic" with cars going by and a trail head nearby but otherwise good spot. Showers are well maintained. Only negative comment is that our well behaved dog who sat at our feet at nightfall was told she had to be on a leash. Only DNR encounter we had in the 3 states we visited for camping was here. I am not arguing the rule as there were a lot of dogs around, but ours was on a electronic perimeter (not that he could tell), we just obliged and weren't bugged again.

Overall great stay,...

Absolutely horrible camping trip!!! Don't rent site #222! There is a stump in the very middle of the site that everyone kept tripping over. I ended up with a really bad sprained ankle! I can't even walk/ work right now because of it! I called to complain, and the lady said they are aware and we're planning to rent a stump grinder someday... 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ I told the at the very least, you should paint the stumps with bright colors (she said that was actually a good idea 🤦🏼‍♂️)... I will never come back here. Get your...

So beautiful! The beach was gorgeous, and the trails were amazing. So much diversity! We even got to see the Nature Center duck nest! The lady at the nature center was amazing, helping me find answers to all of my questions. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because there were little dead fish washed up all over the beach, and it grossed my kids out. From what I understand, though, it's just a case of an invasive species being unable to adapt to the rapid temperature changes this...

Great park on the Lake Michigan shoreline. Plenty of parking, walking paths, and miles of sandy beach.
