Nice scenic trails that lead to the beautiful Lake Michigan view. RV spots are nice, ours was mostly sunny and large open spot with a nicely positioned fire ring. We went with site 11 and loved the location. Can get a little bit of "high traffic" with cars going by and a trail head nearby but otherwise good spot. Showers are well maintained. Only negative comment is that our well behaved dog who sat at our feet at nightfall was told she had to be on a leash. Only DNR encounter we had in the 3 states we visited for camping was here. I am not arguing the rule as there were a lot of dogs around, but ours was on a electronic perimeter (not that he could tell), we just obliged and weren't bugged again.
Overall great stay,...

I will never come back here. Get your...

The lady at the nature center was amazing, helping me find answers to all of my questions. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because there were little dead fish washed up all over the beach, and it grossed my kids out. From what I understand, though, it's just a case of an invasive species being unable to adapt to the rapid temperature changes this...
