An Unforgettable Experience for Any X-Files Fan!
My wife and I recently visited the X-Files Preservation Collection, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The attention to detail and the sheer volume of memorabilia is astounding. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just a casual viewer of the show, this collection offers something special for everyone.
The owner has clearly poured their heart into curating this collection, and it shows. From iconic props and costumes to rare behind-the-scenes items, each piece is thoughtfully displayed with informative descriptions. The atmosphere is immersive, taking you back into the world of Mulder and Scully with every step you take.
What truly sets this place apart is the personal touch. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and passionate, always ready to share stories and insights that make the experience even richer. It's not just a museum—it's a true labor of love.
If you're anywhere near the area, or even if you're a bit of a drive away, it's absolutely worth the trip. We left feeling like we'd taken a journey through one of our favorite TV shows, and we're already planning to return.
Highly recommended for any fan of...
Read moreThis small museum packs in a LOT of cool stuff. So many screen-used props and costumes along with concept art, film slides, scripts, and Chris Carter’s laptop and note cards. They have furniture from Mulder’s office and the actual “I want to believe” poster. The actual file cabinet. The black chair. Mulder’s slide projector cart. I could go on and on but it’s simply must-see for x-philes. There’s something for everyone whether you like the mythology, monsters, old, or new. Chris Carter has even visited himself and donated personal items, but don’t let that take away from the incredible collection the owners curated over decades. The day we went there was also a live Q&A with crew from the show, and a screening of classic episodes under the stars. I won a raffle which included a signed picture of Robert Patrick. In the gift shop, I bought a slide from the pilot episode. This place is seriously the holy grail for...
Read moreDate of Visit: Saturday July 8th We came to Saratoga for the X-files convention in town, which included a visit to the X-Files museum. This tiny museum a few minutes outside of Downtown Saratoga is dedicated to the television show X-files that starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The museum is packed wall to wall with artifacts, exhibits, props, posters, and items related to the show – either used in the show, signed by cast/crew and an Xfiles Pinball game. There was barely enough room to move through the museum due to so many people from the convention being there. True Fans of the show and even just casual fans– will love visiting this museum because it has an extensive collection of items that are sure to impress and excite.
There is a tiny gift shop to purchase some other items like photos, gifts, etc.. There is...
