DO NOT GO HERE OR SUPPORT THIS "BUSINESS". This past Saturday, my friend and I made the trip to Bloomer for this winery. Upon arriving, we pulled up to what appeared to be a house/winery. Parking was unclear with the lack of space out front and because of the limited area behind our vehicle for the continuing driveway, we weren't even sure if that was where we should park, but we did anyway. When we went inside, there was one high top table with a handful of stools around it, but from what we could see, that was the only sitting area available. Despite being the only two there at the time, it felt awkward sitting at such a big table. We approached the counter area to look at the menu to decide what sampling options were avaible. The menu listed two complimentary samples and directly after, it gave a five and eight sample option. We were each given a menu and a dry erase marker to mark what samples we wanted.. so after quietly discussing the seven we wanted to choose (five paid samples and two complimentary), we started the sampling. Not only did we re-use the same glass for each sample, but we had to stand at the counter the entire time. Once we got to the fourth sample, the man helping us, who is also the owner, mumbled, "Let's hope this is your last one". Unfortunately my friend did not hear him say that, because we had another two samples and then ordered a glass to finish the excursion. Upon paying and requesting separate checks, we were told the pours were "too big" for complimentary and that we would be charged for sampling eight instead of five, despite us only sampling seven. So we ordered our last "sample" despite the owner grunting about it, and then we asked for the checks. He charged it to one credit card, despite asking for two separate bills, and when we restated we wanted it separate, he shrugged his shoulders over it. This winery will never get a cent more from me and I plan on telling everyone I know to never buy a single bottle of this wine. Extremely unprofessional owner, rude, and flat tasting wine (to say the least). Again, I would highly recommend...
Read moreFinally went to O Neil Creek Winery in bloomer today... We live 26 minutes away. I was so incredibly sad I hadn't stopped before today! The atmosphere was phenomenally blissful &&we enjoyed every sample we had. Definitely a must stop. We left with 6 bottles and I definitely wanted to leave with more. It's on my LOVE list for winery's. I brought my husband and sister and all three of us have very different pallets when it comes to wine. All three of us enjoyed the 10 samplings. There wasn't a wine that I didn't like. There were 7+ wines that I would enjoy a glass or more of. It is definitely worth the drive. We loved our stop....
