It is important to note that the segment here on Google Maps that is labeled Ohio to Erie trail is not actually the Ohio to Erie trail yet. It is a short connected piece that will be part of the Heart of Ohio trail which is indeed one of the important legs of the Ohio to Erie Trail. The actual Ohio to Erie Trail is Three Hundred and Twenty Six Miles extending from the Ohio River area in Cincinnati to Lake Erie in Cleveland. A south to north rider on this magnificent trail system would start at the Little Miami Trail in Cincinnati, come up to Xenia Ohio then pick up the Prairie Grass Trail from Xenia to London, ride across the small London town to join the Robert Pass Trail which becomes the Camp Chase Trail to ride in to Columbus, Loop to the Scioto Trail into Downtown Columbus, cross through some town roads and join the I-670 Downtown connector to ride out of downtown , pick up the Alum Creek Trail for Northeast Columbus and Westerville, Loop through Westerville, pickup the Genoa Trail to Galena, follow signs into Sunbury then onto some roads with route 1 signs that will link with the Heart of Ohio Trail. This segment will eventually be part of that . We started at beech street trail head and turned around to head back at Brecksville station road bridge. Would not recommend starting at breech street because there are so many other places to park.
