This place is fantastic. No exaggeration. We came on a Saturday morning at the end of July and we came home with so many delicious blueberries. The hosts are so welcoming, gracious and conduct a family friendly visit. We arrived and Gail welcomed us, gave us a brief history of their farm, explained all the wonderful varieties of blueberries (I didn't know there were varieties), gave us a tour of their mushroom farm and were just super patient and accommodating from beginning to end. Keep in mind we have 6 kids from age 13 to 1.5yrs and they all had a safe, fun time. The cherry on top is the short but beautiful trail which leads down to a small (kid friendly), creek. Then we purchased blueberry jam, tomatoes, blueberry plants to enjoy at home -- so affordable. This is going to be an annual tradition for us, no doubt! Please support this farm as they are the real deal in terms of experience and what they represent in...
Read moreThe DeFarm staff were absolutely amazing, kind, & helpful! My family & I went for the blueberry picking but we ended up making a whole morning out of it. They are very toddler friendly and encouraged the kids to eat some berries since they are NO-SPRAY!! :) they use other resourceful DIY tactics to keep birds & pests away. After picking our blueberries, the staff encouraged us to check out the moss covered trail to take a quick walk to the creek. It was gorgeous and shaded which felt nice to explore after being in the sun picking berries. The cherry on top was stepping in the shallow & cold creek to cool off and my children loved it! They have a bathroom in a little shack and a cooler in there where we left our berries to go on the trail so they werenât cooking in the car. Totally recommend going for the great experience. My toddlers enjoyed picking the berries & cooling off...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had such a wonderful time picking our own blueberries here this morning! The owners, Gail and Glenn, are so gracious and welcoming. We learned about the multiple varieties of berries, and my goodness they are so delicious, plump and juicy! We were also given a tour of the area where they grow their mushrooms - definitely coming back in the Fall to buy some of those when theyâre ready. To top it off, we were able to take a short hike through their âfairy trailâ afterwards which is beautifully adorned with creative pieces on a soft moss-covered path. If youâre looking for a fun activity (for all ages), this is a fantastic option. Of course, if youâre not into picking berries yourself, they also have a small farm stand where you can purchase readily available berries among a few other goodies. Look forward to...
