I HIGHLY recommend Cleveland Skydiving Center to anyone looking to make the jump or thinking about it . Just do it- schedule it here, everyone is phenomenal! This was my first time jumping it was an experience I’ll remember for the rest of my life. They’re extremely nice, very knowledgeable, and willing to answer all your questions. They check the safety of your equipment and go over the process of jumping multiple times so you know exactly what to expect. I had the pleasure of having Logan as my instructor and he made the experience that much better. I was both terrified and excited to finally be doing this and didn’t even bother trying to hide it. Logan was great through it all, nothing but encouraging and laid back the entire time. His humor and jokes kept me laughing the whole ride up. The man is great comedic relief, I really enjoyed it. It definitely helped keep my nerves at bay.
The fall it self is was exhilarating! Words don’t even begin to describe it, you just have to experience it for yourself. The views are just as incredible, absolutely surreal. It’s crazy to think these guys get to do this for a living. The videographers are also tremendous! They did an amazing job capturing every moment and emotion- from getting on the plane to landing- I loved looking though all the footage and picture today. I’m already scheduling my next jump and can’t wait to come back. This was only the first of many jumps. Logan also told me if I jumped again I could pull the parachute, so it was a done deal for me. Hope I get the chance to jump with him again!
I recommend CLE Skydiving Center to anyone in the Cleveland or surrounding areas. Make the drive, it’s absolutely worth it! I’m really looking forward to doing this again!! You guys are wonderful, thank you so much for this...
Read moreSo I found Cleveland Skydiving Center on the internet, and i saw their website wasn’t updated since 2016, which made me a bit leery. I knew i wanted to jump in the Cleveland area, so I booked it. I know there are other places (Grove City, Buffalo) near me, but for some reason this place stuck out. The website makes it very clear to call before you leave the house and make sure your jump is still on. I did so about a two hours before my jump and they said it was weather pending. We get there and I’m a little leery again; as it looks like someone’s house. But I give it a shot and go inside. As it says online, it is a Family Business - so I was okay with it! The girl at the desk was very nice and helpful, but she did swipe my card and then say it would be a three hour wait . There’s not much to do in the area, but she suggested Nelson Ledges so we went hiking for a bit. She called within an hour and we came back and started our jump! The bathrooms are outdated - but again - it seems to be an old family business. If you want a huge, brand new facility, go elsewhere. This was the perfect environment for me - but maybe not for all. Anyways, they got us dressed and took some pictures (which costs $35 afterwards) and then got us out to the hangar. We met our instructors and I met Ted, who was GREAT!! he was very friendly and warm - and talked me through the whole thing. Once in the air, he kept telling me what to do/expect. We jumped and we went inside afterward. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of - waiting for the slideshow of pictures that costs $35 because I knew I wasn’t going to buy it. I did, however, purchase the $100 hand cam video. Yeah, probably overpriced. But worth it for me. I’d recommend this...
Read moreThanks to them I had the best experience of my life skydiving. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, encouraging, and professional. I wish I had a group picture on my last trip to show the great photographer and instructor that assisted and educated me on the sport of parachuting. They let me feed my curiosity and watch them pack the parachutes even though they could have said no. This year I have made three jumps total and I am happy I can have the experience even though I am a heavy girl, and it cannot be all that great to have me as a student. You will get different instructors and different experiences from each one. My favorite instructor would have to be Logan. He lets me take control of the parachute for short period of time as I am uneducated jumper. Giving me more of the experience as my own like I am in control with instructions of course. The last jump he educated me on term and technique just like Justin making me a more educate jumper than the last time and that was really appreciated. When I watch my video, I realize how much I have messed up during my tandem jumps. They told me I did great but that is a lie I could have done better. Justin would have to be my second favorite. He does not hand the reigns over completely but if you are looking to be well educated with technic and terms on the sport, he is your guy. He tells you everything as you are descending and what you should do as situation arises. This is a great place to experience skydiving and I am sorry for the long-winded review. I hope that anyone who goes to this facility has the same breath-taking...
