MOMS: this is NOT a kid friendly museum. I would give five stars to the museum itself for its beauty. The grounds, planes, design, etc are all stunning and immaculate. However, I brought my two plane loving kids today and immediately upon entering and seeing two large planes and beginning to run toward them they were yelled at from a woman in the office, “don’t touch anything, come back and stand right here”. She then came up to the front check-in desk to very sternly lecture us on the rules that they are not to touch anything, and that there is only ONE open cockpit with stairs that they can touch or sit in. This being our first time, it felt VERY un-welcoming. There are hangars full of beautiful full size planes, pulled out engines, and lots of model/toy sized planes sitting around everywhere for decor and right at eye level for young kids. This is torture for a kid who loves planes to see this and be told they can’t touch anything. Kids are admitted for free under a certain age but after todays experience I feel they should clearly state on their website and Facebook presence that this is not a place for kids below the age of 12, because honestly any plane loving kid is going to struggle with not being able to...
Read moreWhat an amazing experience we had at the Beechcraft Heritage museum. We enjoyed every minute, everyone was so amazingly nice and we felt like we've known them for years although it was our first visit. The museum layout is great and everything was kept very clean. They managed to showcase some really amazing aircraft in the museum and it was so awesome to see all the different aircraft they had, especially my favorite the Bonanza :) I also enjoyed to see how beautifully they honored important people and founders that made all of this happen. Very informative and beautifully done. Will definitely be back again! Thank you for all the inspiration, Beechcraft Heritage Museum! Nir &...
Read moreEasily the best plane museum I’ve ever been too. I didn’t even know Beechcraft made planes before I went, just found it searching things to do around the Jack Daniels distillery. I definitely enjoyed it more than the distillery! The Starship is top 5 most impressive planes I’ve seen in person. The double motor shiny one was just a beautiful creation, as were the others. I got a particular kick out of the “juror plane”. Absolutely 10/10 would recommend. The gift shop could’ve been better, specifically the post cards and magnets. They had nice Beechcraft memorabilia style, but not much about the actual Beechcraft Heritage...
